Edinger Drive Gear Pivot
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the early Edinger kits come with a drive gear pivot that was held in with a clip instead of a nut? I have this one in my collection and I am pretty sure that is it. Check out the pics.

This project definitely reminds me a vw rail buggy in full scale though. I like it!

Re: 1.9 frt. 1.6 rear. aluminum wheels
Oh ok, well I looked again to see if I can find the ones I saw but they must be gone already. I have a set of Duratrax wheels that I removed the anno from myself and polished up. Not too bad of a wheel being that I believe they were the cheaper of the aluminum wheels from bitd.

I just saw a set of the Duratrax wheels on ebay. Looked like someone removed the anno on them. I just did a quick search but couldn't find them again.

This is looking really nice. I would be interested in one too. (I can't remember if I already mentioned that I would want one earlier in this thread. Stupid memory.

Yeah no doubt! Something aircooled on the back would be very cool!Johnboy72 wrote:nice project...holy diving board!! Too bad you can't find a VW engine to put on that rear of the chassis. I'd start looking for some toys to donate a motor.

Re: Sanyo KR-1700sce saddle pack restoration
When removing old solder, why not get a solder sucker? This is a large marker size device that uses vaccuum to remove melted solder. To ready the tool you just push in the locking plunger and dip the tip into the melting solder and push the button which releases the spring loaded plunger and the va...

Yeah I can't wait to see the outcome of this. My buddy owns a shop that works with aluminum and I was thinking of taking some pans over to see if he can weld up the extra holes. He happens to own a powder coating shop as well which I think will come in handy.

I noticed but didn't know anyone made them chrome. I was thinking, this guy must be really dedicated to sit and polish all those e-clips.askbob wrote:Anyone spot the Traxxas chrome E-clips...I couldn't resist.

Yeah I just spent some time degreasing a 6 gear yesterday. Sometimes they are pretty nasty.RichieRich wrote:Every single second hand RC10 I've picked up has had some sort of grease/lube on the gears. I'm always afraid to open the transmission case.Amateurs.
