Lwb mid carbon tub chassis
I have now made 2 of them.
Sorry I can't attach pics here but if I can send them through messenger to someone and you can attach them here to show them to everyone.
Or if you have spot it in the Facebook and can copy them and put them here I would be happy..

Re: Carbon fiber Chassis Experiment
The only thing I see the problem is that this is an very difficult item to make. So many profiles that it's very hmm I couldn't find any right word for it. When you laminate ~3mm carbon it has lot of epoxy in so if you start directly you have laminated the carbon the epoxy is very wet and that will ...

Re: Ultima LWB
Thank you orangemazda!! I agree, it's really hard to make a separate nose plate look nice - there's always going to be a step. I was considering making the main chassis plate one-piece from aluminum but I'm more concerned about keeping the weight down than aesthetics. Of course, a molded carbon cha...

Re: Factory Works C2 Carbon Fiber
Man, I wanna build one of these myself. Looks like your off to a great start. Dumb question; Can you order the chassis plate with the front kick-up or are they flat? What do you have planned for the front nose plate? Is this a runner? Hi. I can do an chassis with 30degree kickup. Only info i need i...

If you dont find the chassis i have one. Unused but it was build sometimes in the -90.
I think it was composite craft who made it.

Re: ULTIMA RC10 CARBON CHASSIS
The thickness depends also of what kind of design the towers have.
But if im making an copy of an rc10 front towers so atleast 2.5mm but 3mm is great. 2mm is too thin.
But if the design is like an schumacher cougar 2000 front towers so then 2-2.5mm is ok.

Re: ULTIMA RC10 CARBON CHASSIS
Let me ask a couple more questions. How thick is the chassis? I have a Team Associated graphite transmission brace #6593 and it is 0.1" (2.54mm) thick. How many layers of cloth does it take to achieve that? Have done fiberglass but am new to the carbon fiber. Thanks Wow that has to do alot wit...

Re: ULTIMA RC10 CARBON CHASSIS
The mold is 2 carbon plates with correct kickup and i laminate between them.
There is actually an carbon stuff that you can one time heat it up and made an own profile but i have never used it.
Cant say more of it. I think it has to do with the epoxy.

Re: ULTIMA RC10 CARBON CHASSIS
You only need very good mold and then it is easy to make kickup chassis.
