Re: Cleaning cast alloy / Aluminum
Before I bought one I was researching them and found something out about this particular model. They're made in a random factory somewhere and then various companies just slap their own labels on them. Heres Eastwood for example trying to peddle it for 200 bucks! http://www.eastwood.com/ew-hd...

Re: Cleaning cast alloy / Aluminum
I have a Lyman 2500 Pro Magnum Tumbler. I bought it to polish aluminum but the media I used (corn cobs) apparently isn't abrasive enough. It wouldn't polish the aluminum to an acceptable level no matter how long I left the parts in for. I bought it from this place: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProdu...

Re: MRC MT10 & Futaba FXT-10
There isn't a truck version of the FX-10. Though CRP did sell a truck conversion kit for them. The FX-10 for the most part was just a re-badged Tamiya Striker. Around the same time Futaba also came out with an aluminum tubbed, ball diffed stadium truck called the FXT as seen in this thread. It sport...

Re: MRC MT10 & Futaba FXT-10
Its actually just FXT or more specifically FXT stadium racer. The FX-10 was the Futaba buggy. As far as i'm aware the FXT was manufactured by Tamiya for Futaba. Its loosely based on the Stadium Blitzer and was meant to compete with the other trucks of its day. I vaguely remember a big name...

Re: Another Quickie............... RC10 DS
Looks good so far. Maybe one of these days i'll finish my custom DS project. Its only been on the back burner for around five years now. I'm not sure i'll even be able to find all the pieces at this point. Heck, my first posts on here were in regard to it and how I was thinking of finishing it...

Re: Nitro Dragster ID help?
I bought two things but looking back I wish I had bought more. The Motion Graphics painted 55 Chevy body they used in all the ads. The "V-Rod" car I think it was called from the Hot-Rodz line. It was the one used at the trade shows and ads. The body is also signed by them. :) I can post pi...

Re: Nitro Dragster ID help?
Nobody bought the company as a whole. As far as i'm aware it was split up and different companies bought different facets. RJ Speed bought a lot of it. A ton of stuff was also sold to the general public. Then the name and whatever was left over was sold to someone else.
