Re: Who have you met in person?
A lot of friendly people amongst these pages. I had the oportunity to meet Scott - MelvinsArmy - a few months back after following an eBay transaction and unfortunately, on my part, it was an uber fast meet because although I managed to sneak away from work, i had to rush right back. as usual... hah...

Re: FARMERS Official ORANGE RACER Build Thread
associated I couldn't figure figure for the life of me how to get the shock away from the tower without using multiple washers or bore washers. and as it turns out - all along while I was searching for "shock mount", "shock pivot", "shock anything!". Shock STAND...

Who makes the aluminum(?) upper shock pivots that you have on the front and rear tower?

Re: the big 5?
Kinda a poll on who every one thinks is the big 5 rc manufactures are. Like the big 3 car manufactures are gm chryslter and ford. And why they think so. Mine are Associated, of course they gave us the rc10 Kyosho, vintage rc just wouldn't be the same without them Losi, someone had to keep Associate...

Re: modern 85' worlds tribute
definately 100% not perfect! I used the 0 deg. mounts and wasnt aware at this point in the build that they would throw off the wheelbase (I'm real glad Phin noticed that though! ). I'm not dead set on the alloy GT mounts I have on there, so I'll probably change them out just incase I do...

Re: modern 85' worlds tribute
Something was a little tight. But not but much. I took a few swipes of some coarse sandpaper to the klein arms and then it was able to swing freely.

Re: Anniversary Trip
I second the Waldorf Astoria stay in NYC idea. When I got married in February, we stayed there for 3 nights, it was incredible. It's not cheap, but no hotels in NYC are. Definitely worth springing for the couple extra bucks to experience it. And if you don't stay, try to make a trip over for a walk...

Re: MIP 4wd SRB project
Hey ShowOFF, I mean er, Shodog (
), that is some dead sexy stuff right there. Your builds always amaze me! I actually just browse your gallery when I'm blue
.
But all joking aside, is this the MIP cable drive SRB of yours that you took apart, or another build?

Re: Anniversary Trip
You can forget about finding the mega "NYC style" hobby store in Times Square or anywhere in NYC since we are the most RC unfriendly place on earth. But you might find hobby stores outside NYC and surrounding NJ areas.
BTW, happy anniversary.
(sorry to my NY people, but it's the truth)

Re: Sheepish to ask, thread-sizes for front/rear axles?
If you're still unsure, you could pick up (at home depot or other hardware store) a thread gauge. They're pretty inexpensive plastic template type and I'm sure they'd have metric and SI units.

Re: Orange ?
You don't need to cut the chassis. All you need is the truck or GT nose plate to use the arms you have.
