Re: Vintage Optima Mid Upgrade Parts
I remember reading the advert for the bullet products. Wow factor there. The heat sink motor plate looks nice. I thought either kyosho or option house had a finned motor plate specifically for the buggy mids, but all I could remember is the spider motor plate. I totally forgot about the factory 1 wa...

Re: My very first RC... The Tamiya Grasshopper...
My 2nd hobby grade rc was a hornet. And, like above,, I thrashed it time and again. Used to race my friend who had both a frog and a royal ripper. My hornet ended with some kind of aftermarket body, paddle mud tires, similar front shock kit as this grasshopper,, but mine kept the plastic towers , ad...

Yeah, my price comparison is based on finding that killer deal,, which does happen. Even with all the goods,, it dosent quite make the cut for "killer deal".

No, thats ridiculous. Ive seen good runners for right around a hundred and twenty. Granted they are going to be USED but hey,, 950 for a toy thats not a MIB bruiser is not even realistic.

Re: Losi XX4 Re-release!!! Er.... wait a sec... :D
I was about ready to panic, then breathed a sigh of relief. At 469.00 thats more than twice what I just dumped on a vintage xx4 plus rally weapon and ton of spares. WHEW! Sure the new car looks much improved, but suggested retail is crazy. We must commend the folks at Team Losi for actually doing th...

Re: My Optima series collection
Was wondering just how well these old cars handle the power of brushless and lipo. Not counting the obvious busted suspension and shock towers,, but the drive train. Lots of stripped belts?

Re: Ultima Trio- oval, buggy, and Truck projects
Couple of questions. First, what is a pin router? CNC? 2nd, What do you consider a good price on say, a 90% complete mid in used, but usable condition? By 90% I mean the body is probably junk, possibly worn gears, worn tires, but the mechanics all re usable. Curious because I also avoid high priced ...
