Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)
I don't understand the little label code on CAM motors. I have 2 NIP 15x1 model 1054 motors. Both have a 185 label. . 1000016882.jpg 1000016883.jpg Hmm so that makes mine make less sense if you know for a fact yours are 15 singles. Lol my 215 made a little sense before that. What in the world would...

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)
Hey guys, I picked up a CAM mod motor on eBay last week, just bought it on a whim and because it looked and was listed as new. I’m wondering if any of you can identify it for me. Looks to be a double wind, It says 215 handwritten on a sticker on the can and has 215 on one of the armature coils, a 3 ...

This is a custom chain drive Tamiya Frog. Be sure to zoom in on the pics to see all the details. It has an ultra tall gear ratio with this setup. The B&R that was originally chosen for the build just didn't have enough torque, so in went a Lemans 550 360ST unit. It worked perfect. It is not jus...

Re: RC8b4 nitro kit questions
Looks like lrp sells an inexpensive 3 port with pull start (amain, around $130), and they have an optional roto start for it. I'd be tempted to go that route, pull start first and if it has issues try the roto start. With the roto you should be able to clock it into a position that clears. That’s t...

Re: WLToys curiosity project
We run LCRacings version of these in 1/14 scale. Not sure who copied who lol LC has the a 1/10 1/12 and1/14 buggies and truggys, the brushless kits are essentially the same thing. The cool thing about LCRacing is they are available as complete unassembled kits. And the LC cars have a full line of ca...

Re: RC8b4 nitro kit questions
So there’s no specifics in the manual that says pull starter or not. I’m guessing there are decent pull start .21s or similar? Just trying to go about this as practically as possible. I see that the back of the blocks on the pull start motors have a larger flange and that one of the drive shafts can...

Thanks for all the great info guys! I thought about just converting it, but thought it would be cool to just build it as is. I think my son will appreciate it! Just hope it does t start another out of control hobby segment for us 🤣 I brought the instructions with me to work today, so at some point I...

RC8b4 nitro kit questions
Figured this would be ok here, since we don’t have a designated 1/8 scale forum…I think!?! Got a couple of quick questions about this car, but first I wanted to share the back story cause it’s pretty cool! So a few months ago I met a younger than me guy that lives a few houses down. He happened to s...

This is awesome! Was going to say, I know you could squeeze a mini or micro battery in there! So how does it run? Gotta be a wheelie monster!

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Being a former fast electric boat racer, by habit, just about everyday of my life I look on eBay for vintage fast electric boats. Last week I found this and made a deal with the seller. New in box Parma Ski tiger supreme kit. Minus the matched 6 cell pack. Oddly enough it is packed in a Parma Follan...
