Fathers day A stamp build is done..
I finally wrapped up all the little things on the A stamp build and got it ready to deliver to my dad on Sunday. It was fun driving this thing for the first time in 10 years. It's set up with my old Novak Rooster ESC and a Ballistic green can motor (specs unknown) I was surprised how well thing thin...

Associated Monster GT e conversion
I decided to rebuild my kids 1/6th Newbright Hummer into something a little less boring.. What better way to start than by throwing out everything but the body shell sliding a Monster GT chassis under it. This is the we are with the chassis.. http://i.imgur.com/GOnBsDLh.jpg I took a Monster GT rolle...

A stamp build for Fathers day.. Go Hawks!
This year for fathers day I decided to give my dad the A stamp he bought me back in 1985. It needed a little love since it's been in a closet for a few decades. I had Larry at Kustom RC Graphics handle the paint work for my dad's favorite football team.. The Team KnK screw kit arrived yesterday so t...

Re: I really want to get back into racing but...
We took the kids GT to the track on Sunday for some practice with the new 17.5 brushless setup along with my SC10 and it's new brushless setup.. Before the motor swap with the brushed motors the track was about like I remembered from when I raced 20 years ago big jumps or not the car was't going air...

I should have expected that.. you heartless Portlander..
We have Superbowl 50 to redeem ourselves..
I'm still debating if I should use the Worlds Yellow wheels or Dye a white set green.

This pan is about .075 thick on the bottom and .050 on the side walls.
If I make another it will have an extra layer of biaxial in the floor.. It should come out at 0.100 thick. I have a plan to make another with the SC10 wheelbase.

Re: cheap esc/motor combo recommendations.
I've been troling RCtech for used Novak gear.. I've managed to get ESCs for about $35-40 shipped and motors for about the same.
If you watch Ebay you'll see a NIB Novak Club or Edge combo a few times a month.. They go for about $70-90

Re: I can't afford the battery pack for this heli....
Trex-700.. They fly on 12S.. 2 x 6S-5000MAH packs in series. I have a 12S setup I was going to use in a 27% cap 232 with a Neu 1521 1.5y 6.7 and Castle HV110 ESC. The 6S 5k packs are about $70 each form HK. I sold the plane so the ESC ad motor just sits in a drawer now. The packs have sat for a few ...

What did you do to your car this weekend?
I found some free time and got the new Viper body and wing trimmed for the A stamp project.
Just about ready to box up and ship out for paint.. I have something special planned for this one.
Almost time to strip it down, clean it up and re-dye the nylon bits.
