Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
There's loads more but I need to tweak the designs , a lot were slightly modified for FDM home printing so need to be returned to a more original shape that's possible on their printers at shapeways .

Re: What's your favorite & least favorite steps when building a new kit?
My favourite thing starts before it arrives , downloading a PDF of the instruction manual and reading it before the kit arrives . You guys need a set of taps for pre cutting the threads on shock fittings , I use an M3 tap a lot when building kits if it's an M3 into plastic , it stops the stretching ...

Mugen Bulldog at last !
Well I finally got one at a reasonable price :D I think after the Yokomo 834b this was the car I dreamt off most as a kid , I've always loved cage cars but I never thought I'd ever find a Bulldog at a reasonable price . This one is not fully original , previous owner put a second steering servo on f...

Re: Mugen Bulldog at last !
I found a set of 3d printable bulldog style wheels in 1.9 for hotshot tires on Cults3d , they looked really nice until I put them in my slicer program and there was very little material between the holes so I designed a set myself , they also have a deeper offset than standard hotshot wheels . https...

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
Great achievement ! Generally with 3d printed parts holes tend to shrink a little , with home FDM printers I tend to increase the diameter by 0.2.- 0.3 mm so where I'd drill a 2.5mm for tapping an M3 thread with printing I'd make a 2.7mm hole for an M3 thread , if I'm making a hole for an m3 to free...

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
The prints from Pro shops can be porous and stain easily , some shops offer a colouring service or yes painting them or sealing them in clear coat works just as well .

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Just recently I got a roll of Polymaker Polymax PC polycarbonate ... Man is it strong ! I've been working on some suspension arms for a project I'm working on and I cocked up leaving a feature out so I made another one to replace it , this evening I replaced it and was just about to throw it away wh...
