Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
God I'd forgotten how much I hate PETG. Anyway this is the Holiday Buggy chassis complete , it all lines up nicely but its an ugly low res print and I had a little section at the front of the blue part warp up from the bed while I was out walking the dogs :( doesn't really matter as its never going ...

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!
Nice solution :D , that's really looking good , hate to think how much support it would need to print but thank the gods that supports have been so dramatically improved in the last few years , when I started 3d printing the amount of support and the difficulty in removing it from a print like that ...

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!
All coming together nicely , a little trick I discovered by accident when printing headlights , if you leave them as hollow domes and print with transparent filament then the support material adds the lense effect .

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
I was recently looking at new printers for a friend and the new Ender 5 S1 seemed interesting , direct drive, all metal hot end , filament run out sensor , 32 BIT board and bed leveling sensor all standard , if they do a Plus I might be very tempted as it ticks a lot of boxes . Resin printers ..... ...

Sand Rover, Tamiya's unlovable child
"We came in ?" I've been trying to think how to start this thread for a few weeks , the Sand Rover was my first RC car, I've got very mixed feelings about it, it got me started in this great hobby, it supplied the radio gear that I used in every car after back in the day, was I disappointe...

Re: Sand Rover, Tamiya's unlovable child
It's only the mother in law come to look at puppies so I'll continue . After the pre amble I've got to the point in the build when I've got the tingle as I can see where it's going , I've just got the tires on and and I've made some wheel trims that point the way so I thought I'd share . https://i.i...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
Every six months or so I get to thinking about getting into resin printing, then after about 30 minutes of e-learning about all the PITA aspects of it, I just stick with FDM. The toxins, the fumes, the enclosure, the heating, the cleaning, the curing, etc etc. Just too much for me. If I could dedic...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
I've heard good things about the Kingroon from a guy on RCGroups who raves about his and he also has other printers to choose from . I'll also second the recommendation for the Orbiter , I have one fitted direct to a Dragon hot end on my Ender 5 on my own custom mount and it's worked perfectly and i...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
My Ender 5 is enclosed by mostly slotting foam craft board into the printers frame , only the top is larger to accommodate the top beam parts , the front and top are removable for low temp filaments but it's generally only a high temp machine , I don't even have the part cooling fan fitted most of t...
