Re: Tamiya 58519 - Super Hotshot - detailed build
Parts Bag B Did some activities between meetings or at the end of the days, when I had 5 to 10 minutes to do some paint job. Really small paint activities, actually, but that is what takes the more time. At the end of the week, I had a decent driver figure, I tried to assort with the gold wheels (le...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Something a little unusual for me: a modern buggy.
I don't know if this means that I've finally learned to accept the modern stuff
or if it means that I'm just desperate to build a new buggy from kit - probably some of both.

I got the car Thursday morning. Got it fixed up enough to display at the race. Entered it in the concourse and it won best paint and best of show.

1980 Demon 2 speed controller
Going back a bit here.... almost to the beginning of Demon. This is in remarkable condition, with the original dating sticker still intact - '802 330' indicating a Feb 1980 build date, unit number 330. The Demon 1 was forward only, the 2 had reverse. I also managed to find a mag review for these uni...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Today, I ordered online prints for some of the Marui parts I need for the project. I think I found a way to get the prints in Nylon PA12 quite cheap. The initial price of each parts was about 15 euro (taxes not included) each or 13 each if there is more parts. I read somewhere that the print was act...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
I'm completely unfamiliar with the RC your building Dadio but I can appreciate the work you are doing to replicate parts for it; that's an extremely complex part. Your doing some very advanced design engineering work and I seriously doubt that the professionals who created this car a few decades bac...

Re: Ronin Marui Samurai runner build
I ran my dolphin for the first time at a vintage event last weekend. The drive train : super efficient and incredibly silent : the opposite of my expectations for a chain drive. Nothing got permanently damaged either but it popped out a front dogbone within 30 seconds from the start and a rear wheel...

Re: Ronin Marui Samurai runner build
I ran a falcon in the other heats of this class : 5 runs without even having to touch a single thing. It wasn't quiet a stock falcon of course but still did a much better job than my turbo ultima i ran in another class. Granted the ultima went faster but managed to drop out of the race nearly 5 out ...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Legendary series - 30619
After the dinner, yesterday evening, I started by adding some details with masking tape. https://i.imgur.com/pFFlDNf.jpg And prepared the driver body with liquid mask https://i.imgur.com/aoCTeaF.jpg First thing first I did this morning was to prime the helmet (no pictures) Then used a photocopy of t...
