Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle

The end of my 2020 Chevelle DS project. She has been finished in silver with black stripes. I finished the paint on the night of the 31 and decals were finished right after on the 1st. A nice transition to the new year. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50786121542_299f9f231a_b.jpg https://live.s...

I might have an addiction

Hello, my name is Todd and I'm an RC10aholic. My entire RC Hobby life has been focused and revolved around Tamiyas. The Tamiya Astute was my first RC, followed by an Egress, Monster racer, and finishing up with a Too Force. That's was it, shortly after the Top Force I discovered girls real cars, col...

Re: Resurrecting my goldpan

So, I put the tires and wheels together the correct way and they work great. I also ordered the Traxxas 7171 and J concepts mono wheels with the Duratrax Bandito tires. I just wish I could find some shorter black wires to connect the gyro. The orange, yellow and brown wires are killing me. I used t...

Re: electricity 101

can the esc handle 8s?

12 gauge is probably fine as mentioned. be sure to heatshrink and insulate every thing very well. a short circuit anywhere there could cause major issues.

Re: electricity 101

Yeah that will stress the cells unfortunately. They will have a fairly different internal impedance. You should match the cells, and then balance charge them as an assembly if you can.

What will happen is the weakest most resistive cell will get heated up.

Re: electricity 101

Deans got a bad rap because most of the “deans” connectors you see today are Chinese knockoffs and they melt. The ones on your awanfi will be Chinese knockoffs. I haven’t seen a real deans have a meltdown, but the knockoffs are junk.

Re: electricity 101

Also noticed there's lots of Deans connectors haters out there, what's up with that? What's everyone running for battery connectors these days? IMHO, there is nothing wrong with a Deans connector. I think the problems that most people have link directly back to poor soldering skills. Then throw in ...

Re: electricity 101

Chinese Deans are the problem, and like Jeff said real Deans plugs rarely have any issues. Like also mentioned a lot of problems stem from poor soldering and bad connections.

Duplicolor Metalcast

Hello everyone,
Seeing if anyone has tried to use this product line to refinish a well used tub.
https://www.duplicolor.com/product/metalcast-anodized-automotive-paint/
I’d did use it with great success years ago to refinish a bmx bike powerdisc.
