RC10DS - Lamborghini Diablo - BODY SWAP TO GALLARDO

Hi all. As you know, I entered my camel yellow electric RC10DS Lamborghini Murcielago in this this months BOTM. There, I mentioned i had a nitro version of a DS Lamborghini in the works. Well here is the start of the build page. Im starting out, believe it or not, with a nitro RC10DS from Ireland i ...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

I finally went back on doing something on the Wild One today... It was mainly about electronics. First, I prepared the servo. https://i.imgur.com/VZbsnwE.jpg It's one which is way overkill, but since I have those one in the boxes, the wild one is one of the car that allows to use it because of the r...

Re: More Tamiya shenanigans or something else?

The other thing to note with the TBLE-02s is that it supports LiFe cutoff, not LiPo.... Tamiya have been big LiFe adopters for a long time, and that was what they chose to support with the "next-gen" ESC when they released the TBLE-02s. When the TBLE-04s was released, it included a LiPo cu...

Re: More Tamiya shenanigans or something else?

Anyway, comparing the specs, it appears that the biggest difference between the '02 and the '04 is the max continuous amp rating (60 vs 75). Yes, it's also a bit confusing as it should be able to handle a 10.5T easily with those specs, while the instructions says no lower than 15.5T... I'm not fami...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

Wanted to get things moving forward, knowing that I would not finish it anyway today, as I'm still undecided about sponsors stickers and I still have a the sensor cable to put in. I started my afternoon to work on the body of the pilot. First priority, remove the additional unrequired 12 fingers per...

Tekno eb410.2

Built my first Tekno buggy the eb410.2. What a great build and the quality is great. Everything is nice and smooth without any slop to it. Taking it to the track tomorrow for some play time.

Re: Rebuilding a vintage javelin to be a runner

If you want a runner and can afford the RE RE trans then that's the way to go and just keep the original trans to keep its value in future. And one picture is not acceptable , we need many more pictures :D Here's the most recent picture of my Javelin. Just threw it together to see if the parts all ...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

I didn't want to call it done today, so only made some steps today (it won't be possible to finish it until I have a dashboard printed and fine tuned anyway)... I started to cut out the windows net and the rear number plate (and due to my brushless set up, I had to adapt the right side). https://i.i...

Team Associated Japan RC10GX (unboxing) early six gear tranny

This was the first RC10GX (NIB) I ever saw auctioned off in Japan. It is the earliest version of the RC10-GX. The main difference between this and the US spec is the inclusion of Yokomo aluminum wheel adaptors for Yokomo 2.15 inch rear wheels, extra spring set, and Japanese advice manual. The manual...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

Oh I agree! Battery and cable fitment, like so many other design aspects with this and other Tamiya's, is a joke - a very cruel joke. :x At the time of the Wild One release Tamiya was using their hump pack battery, so the battery tray in the chassis is designed for a battery pack that's only as lon...

Re: Stadium Blitzer rebuild

When you flipped the blocks, did you shorten the hinge pins? If not, they will interfere with the links. I also used the Tamiya HD servo saver, which has a slightly different geometry than the original. But to answer the question, it will never be great. At the end of the day, its still a beginners ...
