Re: Team Losi Hydra-Drive

How different is it to drive with a hydra drive vs a normal slipper? Is this something that would only be a benefit on a rough low traction track?

I got my official Associated e-mail letting me know that DS tires and wheels are back in stock. by the time I checked the link both were sold out.

Are the new tires and wheels the same size as the vintage ones?

Re: Request : RC10 set-up guide leaflet

Hello, A bit like a bottle in the sea, I am looking for a reproduction of a leaflet made by Associated which explained the main settings of the RC10 and their effects on the behavior of the buggy. - Made of fairly thick cardboard, - In three panels printed on both sides, - Pink or beige in color (t...

Re: What your workstation looks like?

Work benches are pricey unfortunately. Sometimes you can go the home stores in the area and find drop or reject countertops Formica or other wood based. They make great bench tops, or you can buy a sheet of 3/4" plywood and rip it into two sheets that you stack for a solid table top. A few 2x4...

Re: Cvd for rc10 original

I need a cvd set for and rc10 vintage build. I tried using the MIP cvd set and while it's a quality item, it is either too sort or I need to limit my shock travel length. I'm using the 3/16" axles and need a longer dog bone/center shaft. JC Racing has a +2 but there's got to be an alternative ...

Re: Cvd for rc10 original

I use that Custom Works Short kit (CSW7210) and with the shims it has, I get good outdrive engagement. It is an MIP CVD kit that has been repackaged as Custom Works. For your MIP CVD setup, where are the shims? Are they all on the wheel side of the axle? Maybe some they need to be moved to push the...

A Nice article on self-tapping screws for plastic

I was looking for some spare screws for some toy grade rc cars, as well as my son jegs stinger. I ran across the below article when looking for information on thread count/pitch. https://engineeringproductdesign.com/knowledge-base/self-tapping-screws-for-plastics/ It's a nice read but some key point...

Futaba fp-t3pg magnum senior partial tear down

I IMG_5687.jpeg I purchased futaba magnum senior with some case damage, but otherwise in good condition some time ago. It was also missing the battery cover. I won an auction on a second more complete one. The new one was in rough shape with a lot of oxidation on the metal parts. As well the trigger...

Re: If I was in charge

Ok, a lot of re release stuff out there. Some of it helpful. It'd be great if they'd re released some really key components. What would you, the community, like to see back on the market for parts? In terms of key components, what is missing? They really seems to have covered all of the bases. The ...

Re: Adding to my collection of broken novak controllers

No, I wasn't the seller but I was almost the buyer. I spent a few too many 'think about it' minutes because of the condition. 😁 If it sits in a box for more than a month without getting worked on I'll let it go for what it cost me. With how I collect these things you'd think I'd have made at least ...

Re: Adding to my collection of broken novak controllers

Showed up today. Started cleaning it up.

The identity plate is in worse shape than I thought.

It’s absolutely a nesc2 as identified by the circuit board. I see a buzz71 fet on the brake position.

Re: Reimagining Reissued RC cars

How would you reimagine reissued RC cars if you had a say in production and development at an RC company? I had one idea that involved keeping the same dimensions, body, and mechanical basics of the original (trailing arm, or three gear tranmission, or midship motor, etc.), but revising everything ...
