Re: Tap for the 8-32 screws
#8 is the size and 32 threads per inch is the pitch. An 8-32 tap is the correct specification.

Re: Hex axle option
For anyone curious. I did one block using a drill bit as out lined and was unhappy with the fit, though it did fit and work. I tried a 10mm reamer next. I will confirm using a 10mm reamer on steering block will not work. It removes too much material from the rear of the carrier to seat the metric b...

No going back now. I do need to get the correct 8/32 countersink...if you know, you know- Screenshot_20241020_192319_Gallery.jpg Began to mod for a fan opening, have to be way more creative to get proper fan placement with good flow. Still need to make the carbon mount. Screenshot_20241020_192242_Ga...

Re: 6037 worlds car manual vs kit
From my experience, the 6903 5/8" bearing always had the ptfe seal since the original stealth trans came out. The 6906 were all metal shielded up to and including the t2/b2. Then the running changed happened for first run b3/t3 were they were all ptfe sealed. When associated released the FT b3/...

I now own a goldpan
After that interesting ebay situation (well, it's not actually over yet) I found this rc10 on offerup. It was fairly cheap in rc10 terms, and looks to be a mashup of a bunch of different parts. Should make a nice runner that I dont have to care too much about and that's really what I want in an rc10.

LiPo charger recommendation for DC power input
Does anyone have experience with using a DC power source (like a car battery) and a LiPo battery charger? My little Tenergy TB6B didn't like it's 12v input being hooked to a 12v input source. It looks like I disconnected it before I cooked it and left the magic smoke out, but it's going to be an AC ...

Re: What your workstation looks like?
Work benches are pricey unfortunately. Sometimes you can go the home stores in the area and find drop or reject countertops Formica or other wood based. They make great bench tops, or you can buy a sheet of 3/4" plywood and rip it into two sheets that you stack for a solid table top. A few 2x4s...

Re: It appears that I have accidentally purchased another
If you don't want it, you could put it in the Buy Sell Trade section. I would see if you like this one or the other one better. Maybe make a best buggy for you to keep from the 2 buggies. Or you have a spare parts buggy now (or at least a spare parts front end). Or you could try to return it to the ...

Just saw this today. Yuck
If you pause the video just after the clear car you can see the chrome wheels and green nose plate.

Hello from Socal
Hello all, So glad I found this community since I have all old RC car/trucks. It's nice to see others sharing the same interest of vintage chassis and builds. I'm in Culver City, CA and the nitro scene is mostly gone in the area. So sad
