Re: Best RTR buggy to race
What classes does your local track run?
It'd be a shame to spend $500 on a car, only to find out that it doesn't fit in any of the local classes.

Re: Who needs LiPo?!
It's a matter of personal preference and safety priorities. NiMh batteries are indeed reliable and can be a safer option if you're concerned about the potential risks associated with LiPo batteries. If NiMh batteries work well for your needs and you're satisfied with the run times, there's no need t...

Re: RC10 Goldpan ESC advice
Any thoughts if I’m running the 16t pinion? A 16 is too small for a stock motor. You'd have to run such a small spur to compensate they probably wouldn't even mesh. Get an 81 Kimbrough spur and a cheap assortment of pinions off ebay. If you use the link for the spur for purchase, make sure you choo...

Another old guy with nostalgia, hello all
Hi everyone. I found this looking around for info on the RC10CC mainly. I saw a press release and thought it would be a neat shelf piece so I'm on the preorder list for it. I've got an old Reedy Competition Stock motor and a NER-3FM receiver I found in my old stuff I'll be looking for restoration in...

Re: My CL 10T tribute build
At this point I had most of the parts for the build I just needed the chassis PC’d that iconic fluorescent red… After searching looked like there were two options that seemed close to the original color going by pics. PPG fluorescent red and a shop out of Florida, APP that had a “Luminous Neon Red”...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
It's an RC500 front bulkhead with separate upper arm mount blocks that attach via a dovetail slide, so that camber can be adjusted....but who made it? It's molded, not machined so it's probably not a custom one off.

RC10GT electric conversion
I got this RC10GT way back when I was a teenager. Probably around 1998 or so. I bought it without an engine, so for one summer me and a friend ran it on a worn-out old OS engine he had. I fondly remember driving the hell out of this thing. Starting it with a drill and sending it out for more. Then m...

RC10gt MIP Shiny CVD - Any way to repair?
The last time I ran my RC10gt, decades ago, a rock or something got in between the bone and the arm, and did this:

Stretched out the pin hole, and cracked the bell:

Can this be welded or repaired?

Re: RC10gt MIP Shiny CVD - Any way to repair?
That's great news to hear there is a cross-compatible MIP Shiny bone that would work. The one in the pics above is 87mm, and I've not found another that close yet. I do still have some of the black CVD's still. I believe that's a kit original on the left that would've come with this: https://i.imgur...

Re: Help with new build- Rc10 composite craft chassis
Welcome! Schumacher 3mm turnbuckles look a lot like Lunsford Punishers (no longer available) and Schumacher is available in titanium or steel. My measurements look like: Front - pair of 35mm, 45mm; one 24mm and 30mm Rear - pair of 24mm https://www.amainhobbies.com/search?cID=&s=schumacher+turnbu...

Taking an old Bullet model out of mothballs
So I found a box in my garage. An old Traxxas Bullet model that's been stored and not run for a very long time. I can't find the transmitter for the radio, and who knows if the battery can even be charged any more... 20231110_163552_copy_1024x768.jpg 20231110_163430_copy_1024x768_1.jpg 20231110_1634...

Re: Taking an old Bullet model out of mothballs
Before you plug an esc into that old Airtronics receiver, don't forget that they are wired different. Well, considering that I do not have the transmitter for that receiver, I would be swapping the receiver out with the speed controller. I believe that the receiver I have is compatable with the ESC...

for those not on Facebook... JC Racing edition
JC has molded the conversion box I created that uses a B6 ball or gear diff and a DR10/SR10/RB10 slipper. This case will allow the buyer to bolt it right into any RC10 as it has both stealth and 6 gear holes, and will fit either trans brace. Keep an eye on their website for these
