I picked up one of these last year, but haven't done anything with it. It was too cool to pass up, especially with the Associated shocks, CRP chassis plate and stadium truck bodyshell. Wheels and tyres look good too, plus it also has a new pair of rims and some new in packet red ball joints as well....

1mm split pins on eBay are cheap as chips and easy to find , can't see the point of messing about making them .

A new project started with arrival of a few parts today. I'll model both 44B version and the one from the Zerda (I have it in a part bag, that came with the Zerda wheels). I may be able to model it quite quickly, as I don't need to tear down a car to do it... Watch this space

Well, I just put one detailed picture of the Zerda at this stage... I'm not even talking about the metal bent out of the box and far too easy to unbent or bent in other dimesions than the original bent :-) They would have made this part within elastomers, I'm not sure it would be that different :-) ...

In the later Alien mid and Invader they used the same suspension geometry as the Zerda but significantly reinforced , the suspension arms are much thicker and the suspension mounts on the bulkheads are greatly reinforced , the suspension components for the Alien Mid and Invader are a drop in replace...

I don't think it's an issue with the body shells from what I can see. It may be just a minor mistake on the 44B chassis instruction manual
