Re: The dog thread
Sorry to hear that Dadio. It's been almost 14 years since I started this treat and our dog is still with us. But the older she gets, the closer it comes and the more i dread the day she won't be. I tried to redo the photo on the first page: 13 years later and on a different continent but still our s...

Re: The dog thread
Our sweet Bell died on Friday at 5.50 pm , mother of three litters of puppies , the most devoted and doting of mothers , survivor of an emergency suzerain delivery of the last litter , battled back to health after two bouts of cancer surgery , she finally was laid low by heart disease at the age of...

Re: Tamiya discontinued items?
As far as I know nobody here works for Tamiya. If you want insider info you would probably want to ask the insiders. We are just a group of guys that play with toy cars. I’ll keep my nose out of your threads from now on. Sorry for wasting your time.

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6 V2
It took 3 more attempts, but I got it! Anodized to .8 mil and 25 minutes in the dye bath. Almost perfect match to the 91668 RC10B6 FT Aluminum Steering Bellcranks. The "test'' cube above was anodized to 1mil and 30 minutes of dye bath. The curiosity is when the same Electric Blue dye is used at...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2021 ** - Winner - LTO_Dave
Pulled me a good old fashion switcheroo and voted early for a change, within a couple hours of polls being open. Instead of the usual last few days or hours (and no, not to peek). But anyhow, speaking of old fashion, it is nearing 5 o'clock

New to the forum from Michigan
Just a quick intro. Sounds like many others in here, I had an RC as a kid and now getting back into it as an adult. Ive got a few cars from old, and a couple new, as well as a build I'm working on.
I'm sure there will be many questions to come but I think I've found a great place to ask them.

Re: Turbo Mid Score
Some fresh photos. It baffled me why the White Mid's decals didn't sit straight, I wasn't having that! After some sectioning they're much better. The platinum shocks on the SE are brand new, factory filled with oil and not an air bubble in sight, just perfect! Expensive and a real mission to find. B...

Re: 1986/87 Supercharge Hotshot
Just when i thought i had actually finished a build, another cool piece pops up! Somebody posted this shortened Hotshot prop shaft with a one-way roller on a different post of mine (am building an FTD Racing Products Hotshot), and then very kindly gifted it to me for my build. I have never seen this...

Re: Shock Identification
Bottom shock is in fact, the greatest shock ever made ever. KYOSHO PLATINUM. Did I mention how great it was?

Laser Thermal Charger 1986 / MkII 1989
I used one of these for many years back in the day - probably my fave charger. Oh so simple.... I recently picked up this pair - one from the legend that is Richard Isherwood. He told me Glyn Peglar had revised the thermal sensor bulb on it to something slightly less vulnerable. Both still work perf...
