Re: How does a 2 speed transmission work?
I owned (and still have) the HPI 2-speed for both Losi and AE. They didn't work off road at all. Every jump resulted in a shift and managing attitude was very problematic. Also, the thing is shoeless. It is snap engagement. No clutching at all. Because of the low traction nature of dirt, predicting ...

Re: Some Bullet Racing/Raborn Racing nostalgia
I've already potentially got a source to machine everything again. I've got tons of shock bodies but nothing else to them. If I can get the machine shop to play ball, I'll be able to complete shocks again. I'm pretty sure that Associated TC shocks will work. I'll buy a set after the holidays to see ...

The Giant RPM part number thread
This thread will be for all of you RPM junkies like myself. My goal here is to list every EARLY RPM RC10 part made( 4 DIGIT numbers only), with the part number and tag description in numerical order. This will be a working living post that I'd like to keep updating with part numbers that I do not ha...

Re: Hi from So Cal
Hi Jake and welcome to RC10talk.com. I think your story mirrors many of the members here (it certainly does mine). I started surface RC with a Tamiya Sand Scorcher circa 1980, tried to race it with zero success, then moved to RC10, Ultima, Schumacher CAT, etc... I've done a fair bit of on-road (10L ...

Re: Car#1 RC10DS graphite mid mount conversion
if you want to keep that slammed to the ground look but improve the rear squat, you can probably swap in these rear hubs, which will raise the axle centerline and bring the rear arms more level. https://www.amainhobbies.com/custom-works-gx-series-rear-axle-carriers-2-csw3241/p640890 they should pret...

Re: Car#1 RC10DS graphite mid mount conversion
Yep, i got two easy suggestions and a third not so easy for you. 1. The rear arms have a spacer that allows you to alter wheelbase by about 5mm depending on placement. If placed on the rear of the hub then you can shorten wheelbase. I cant tell from your photos where yours are placed. If you have th...

Re: Car#1 RC10DS graphite mid mount conversion
That is actually fine. If you take a stock DS and set it for the longer wheelbase your cvd/dogbone will be in near perfect alignment. If you shorten the wheelbase by placing spacer in back of the rear hub then you get the slight angle you have now. Here is a photo of my stock RC10DS nitro. The LEFT ...

Re: RC10L Wheel Question
Sure thing, I can probably get those measurements this weekend...but they're the same wheel specs as RC10L wheels, I believe.
