Re: Tamiya Blackfoot build and modification tips for you
Hey Derek and others, Thank you for the kind comments. Let me know if it works and helps. I added some new pictures (and removed the old one) using a different camera phone. Not sure why it is needed to click on the photo for higher resolution. But I digress. This post is really helping Blackfoot, M...

X-5 single belt drive conversion for Team Losi XX4 Worlds!?
I don't know much about this single belt conversion kit for XX4. If you have any information to share about the purpose or performance impact of this conversion please share! This was the first kit offered by X factory according to their manual. The spur gear is super large! The composite molded gra...

Re: X-5 single belt drive conversion for Team Losi XX4 Worlds!?
Are you planning on building this with a donor XX4? I will leave it as is for now. I'm not sure many NIB conversion kits exist out there, so maybe an RC museum will appreciate what I have lol. I'm horrible at running my vintage cars unless I have another version of the same thing. I posted the pict...

What to do with an RC10 Graphite chassis with gold guard?
I have the following RC10 graphite chassis with a gold motor guard (I found some rear and front white nylon a-arms not shown in the picture). I forgot how it became part of my collection years ago. It would take a lot of work and money to get it running again. I never ran an RC10 graphite...did you ...

Re: RC10FX (aka Japanese Spec. RC10 Championship Edition)
and here you can find the RC10AX!! I wonder what makes the price difference between the two, the AX looks like a stock Championship edition, where the FX has nice hop-ups (RCPS shell, plastic wing, bumper...)??? The RC10FX sports the stealth transmission whereas the AX sports the six-gear old schoo...

Pargustore vintage RC parts factory visit
I had a visit to Mr. Cho's Pargu factory in Kimpo South Korea yesterday! With his permission, I am posting some photos from my visit and personal tour of his shop! Some of you have purchased from his store on Ebay where he sells hard-to-find vintage RC parts. He sells items that improve current vint...

Re: Dreams and go to motors of your youth?
These were my go-to motors as I dreamed of my Egress being competitive in the 4WD classes.
But the tracks never stuck around so they ended up being preserved as unused shelf display motors instead

Re: Egress front shock mounting
Great info. I always found my Super Shot to be pretty rugged but never got quite the same feel from my Vanquish back in the day. Out of curiousity, did the Thundershot series ever see track duty? They seem like a slightly more modern/streamlined version of the Hot Shot design but nobody ever speaks...

Re: Trivia: What is the first reversible, mid-motor 1/10 scale off road 2wd RC buggy "race" kit?
It’s kinda open ended so I wasn’t sure what he was going for. I mean, you could easily flip the 6 gear trans but there was cutting and modifications to do also. The mrp was I believe marketed as flippable and should be ‘85-‘86 era Congratulations that was fast! GoMachV gets the trivia award for the...

Tamiya Top Force build in 2022
I enjoyed this build and have some general tips for your Top Force reissue build. The Top Force was the 100th vehicle in their lineup and was the next generation 4WD racer after the Tamiya Egress. This is a shelf queen and I opted for different wheels to go along with a vivid original paint scheme. ...
