Re: Xxt cvd identification help
Those are 1993 era CVD's, prone to failure at the pin hole, later versions had the bottom of the "bell" thickened so there was way less wear- the heat treatment wasn't perfect either, so most weren't super black. Oddly....their aluminum CVD's always retained this design....and we're prone ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Painted a T2 shell for my sons T2.4 race truck, also did a full 12mm hex conversion on it with SC10 rear hexes, B4.2 front steering blocks and SC10 front hexes.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Some JC XX front arms....I've repeatedly tested the XX platforms durability, and these are the next step. Oddly, they only sent right side arms however

Re: My rc10 projects
Welcome, and technically...Welcome back. Your 10 will make a solid runner and even a capable vintage racer for sure. Class seems to be gaining momentum in the past three years

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
I may still have some LSD parts from my build to help you, but the graphite is a great heat nsulator, and isn't prone to as much thermal expansion as metals. A nice penetrating oil might also help. Look forward to seeing some results and a restored car!

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
Nice, I look every day on Ebay for Trinity cars and other pan cars so I must've missed this one. I have one myself that I'm trying to restore even though it was already like new almost. I think I discovered lately though that it has the wrong axle in it but I don't see me finding a LSD axle either....

Re: My 10LS (and it becoming a Pro10)
Ditch that servo saver for a better steering feel, that (vintage now) S9551 is equipped to handle anything (also my favorite servo from BITD)

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
I think i stalled out waiting to find some other purple parts...haven't looked at it in al looooong time. I ran one of these for almost a month on indoor paperclip shaped carpet oval. The lack of RR weighting in the corner was it's demise for me, the car got into the corner like a rocker but never h...

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
Looks like his car had staggered rear caps, would explain the hub difference. A local Trinity driver had a host of different hub widths for the Evo10 SS...so it's likely a one off on Joel's car
