Re: Quick and easy rc10eGt

This is the JConcepts T5M body, rough cut and fitted on mine. This is the same body used on their short lived EGT conversion kit. Screenshot_20220805-142131_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220805-142147_Gallery.jpg The front body posts aren't the correct angle but are usable. I'm going to use 2" univ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Not all today, but this has been a little before/after work project this week. I bought this Blackfoot on Ebay, which looked pretty good in the pictures. It turned out to need nearly every part that is known for breaking on them. Screenshot_20230316_161637_Samsung Internet.jpg After a lot of new par...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

4790’s ? I’ve been looking for a set for a while for a blue eagle ls build It's the 4790R. I think it's just a different compound. They were listed as an option in many Traxxas manuals. Amain usually has them in stock. I've been buying them for the rear on several of my trucks (can't beat the price...

Re: Outlaw ll

I haven't looked in a while. But my local Autozone did have a small Traxxas display, including fuel.

Re: Will Team Associated Do Another Re-release?

I'd be happy if they did a run of spare parts every now and then.

Re: New dewd

The JC Racing 5 spokes only come in narrow fronts, similar to those used in the 90's. Schumacher, Proline, and JConcepts have a few narrow options. Anaconda fronts are really a modern style, wide tire. They can be made to work but they will be awkward to install and look a little odd. I believe that...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Got some vintage electronics. Airtronics XL2P Screenshot_20230323_180348_Gallery.jpg Futaba Magnum AM, 210CB esc, and R112 receiver. Screenshot_20230323_180339_Gallery.jpg I've wanted a nice XL2P for a while but I wanted 27mhz to avoid any compatibility issues, finally found one. I also wanted a Mag...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Got three NIP Hobbyking brushed esc's. I know that they are cheap, but I got them for really cheap. Screenshot_20230324_172427_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20230324_172410_Gallery.jpg EDIT: Just to be clear. I do not recommend these to anyone, regardless of price. Even when they work, they are still troub...

Please. One of my cars looks like it was lightened with buckshot, like they were practicing for a Flex Seal commercial.

Re: Needing information on a clod

Out of curiosity I just looked, and the original Clod Buster manual does indeed specify molybdenum grease while the Super Clod Buster one specifies ceramic grease. I wonder why the change? If I were to guess, I'd say that it's because of advancements in lubricants. I typically use Abu Garcia Precis...

Re: Alternative springs for Losi XX series shocks

They are a little bit larger than regular Associated springs, right? If so, Traxxas Ultra shock (common plastic ones) springs should be close, maybe a touch larger. They are available in several colors as well as aftermarket options. ECX springs are also a little bit larger than AE springs, but smal...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

This is one of mine. There isn't even room for countersunk washers. I used some small nylon washers, trimmed to fit. They just compress into the space to keep grass from getting hung up. Screenshot_20230329_231241_Gallery.jpg Not to spend your money, but I'd use different bellcranks. Some of the bla...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Yes, I realize that it was over 30 years ago. But calling GnR "Classic Rock" just feels wrong.
