Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

That looks similar to a YZ10 stiffener for the fiberglass chassis.

Maybe it will be # 8....

Actually my next build will be # 3. It's been waiting patiently for a while.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I got this notification, and I initially thought "Cool, my RC10T is shipping!" . 1000011310.png . That actually wasn't it, but it was still something awesome. A signed poster came my way instead. . 1000011494.jpg . Now I just have to fight the battle of which room will be lucky enough to h...

Re: What size pinion?

Yes I do. It's nice that lipo is lighter weight than NiCd and NiMh, especially if I get lower mah lipo. I run an alarm with older ESCs. I have run motors too long and overheated them, so I try to use motors that are low value.

Re: 1/10 Pan Car - MRC PRO-RACING (Inox A2 version)

8 cell battery and a modified motor in a pan car chassis. The Cobra body is definitely appropriate. Very nice!

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

So this bottom loader shock with matching end cap seems like an Associated clone, but I'm not sure what it goes to. I just have this one, but might like a set of them. . 1000011516.jpg Traxxas hard shocks, still available. Good shocks! They list them as their "Big Bore" shocks, even thoug...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - June 2024 ** - Winner - Frankentruck

The month is still early. There are a bunch more votes that have not been cast yet. My son thinks the race driver sitting on the battery box is awesome! He'd go straight to that rally car if it was on the shelf in my home. That FXT belongs in a Futaba sales brochure. It even has a nice set of the ra...

Making a vintage parts brushed frankenmotor

I came across this really cool Epic endbell and felt like it deserved to have a can and armature to go with it. The armature I selected is a 12 turn quad with welded tabs. I think it might be a Peak Performance armature, because it came from a former sponsored racer that has been a great source of m...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Factory Works bellcrank setup would be even better, and it has color options now.

I'm really tempted to give it front and rear laydown suspension, because I have some extra parts.

Re: RC10 B1 Mid Motor Laydown Buggy

The project has inched forward!

I used Chuck's excellent template and modified the donor tail section. The gearbox bolts up nicely.
