Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2023 ** - Winner - morrisey0

At some point I intend to get that vote 😁

There are a lot of excellent entries. I really think getting to make multiple votes (like 2) would make for some interesting results.

Re: hydrogen peroxide, am I missing something?

Remove all metal or you will end up with rusty steel parts and rust stains on the nylon pants.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

It's not pretty, but it fills a slot in my hit list. And now that I have it, that means another one cheaper and nicer should be popping up any moment. Maybe I should go wash my car too just to get the universe properly in motion.

Re: MIP CVD/A Couplings?

Have you tried these? They are the MIP parts that fit the CVDs for RC10 through RC10B4 and T through T4.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I'm happy to see Autographics has a new owner that's restarting production of the old decals. I'm waiting on Rodney racer to get back in print.

I also didn't understand your previous post. It seemed like a good way to mess up a diff tube by unnecessary removal and reinstallation of an already correctly installed gear.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I feel like this gear drive should be the starting point for a home brew airboat or hovercraft. The Leisure Modified motor attached is nice though and might have to get swapped out for a runner instead. . PXL_20230606_185206590~2.jpg . The endbell markings on the AYK Magnum confuse me. Re: Hot Trick Red Fox (Tamiya Fox conversion)

Hot Trick was an aftermarket parts company that most used flat metal plates (I think typically aluminum) for replacement parts. That looks like a Tamiya Fox that got the plastic chassis replaced with the Hot Trick kit. Well, maybe is started out as a Tamiya Fox. There's a few RC10 parts in the mix t...

I agree, I don't see any value in these markings. They make no sense to me.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

It looks like I'll have to find a pinion gear to use a replacement motor. The pinion is pressed on. No set screw or flat spot on the armature.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I have a puller that might take it off, but I'm going to think about that for a while.
