Re: So, what did you do RC today?

One project wrapped up, mostly 😉. I've got some aluminum wheels for it that need 2" tires. I'm thinking a set of Schumacher T650 spikes are just the ticket. The OEM tires are just to blah. For now, it will wear my OG Turbo Optima's shell until I can locate it at my parent's place. No risk of th...

I've always flipped the top shaft direction when I do a mid motor to keep motor rotation in the normal direction. ...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

Your HPI body should be a 200mm wide body, so you'll want to be sure your chassis options are intended for that body width.

Re: Big Bear resto

Are you running a 4 cell battery pack for the servos? I don't see it.

Re: RC Top Faux CAT 10

I've started thinking about this again. It looks like I could make 2 options work. I just need to decide what battery layout I want to have. Both would use existing chassis holes.

Re: Tamiya Polycarbonate Metallic Paint - Backing colors

I think everything sprayed on the underside of a lexan body will end up a gloss finish because of the shiny polycarbonate body. I don't think the paint can do anything about that, if painted on the underside.

Re: Tamiya Polycarbonate Metallic Paint - Backing colors

Gotcha, you're talking metallic vs non-metallic. It would be interesting to know how backing a non-metallic color with a metallic silver turns out.

Re: RC Top Faux CAT 10

A simple plate mount looks like it will work. It's got ok clearance below the shocks, it's just below the front links that I'll need to watch for bellcrank clearance.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I now have a dedicated set of axle pin pliers. I probably should drill a little pocket hole in the other side to steady axle pins for installation.

Actually, I think I have a lead on some NOS Peak Performance decals. I'll look into it more.
