Project Big Bear; he’s iron tough
Scored a couple big bear projects lately and after thinking about it for a while I decided to create a chassis for one of em. Nothing crazy, with the very limited suspension I didn’t even bother accommodating oil shocks. Battery can fit sideways or lengthways, and it will support a shorty as well. B...

Re: Project Big Bear; he’s iron tough
It was considered for sure, and still possible- but I wanted a bolt on kit with no cutting or modding needed. I will probably configure it for a single bellcrank in the center from my hotshot kit, and people would just need to buy longer tie rods to suit.

Re: Marui Big Bear tires - let's CAD :)
That's a nice test print , are you going to try to make a tire with it or go straight to a higher resolution ? , you would be able to go down to 0.08mm with a stock Ender and if you really want the details like writing and spikes to look as good as possible then maybe try a 0.2mm nozzle , the print ...

Re: People contacting me directly thru email while no post here?
This is the first time I've been made aware of it happening. I'd venture a guess that it's not a common occurrence. Nevertheless though, it shouldn't happen at all if it can be helped. I'll look into the settings to see if there's one for disallowing members with no posts from contacting others via ...

Re: Heresy ?
It didn't look right with white wheels up front and chrome at the rear so I've taken the axles out of the Tamiya front hubs and turned them down to fit the Kyosho front bearings , I think it makes it look a bit tidier . While painting I was really nervous that it might not come out well or just look...

Okay Dadio, now you're speaking my language. :D Do they need to be recent photos? I have these from a couple summers ago - when it used to rain here. P1010310.JPG P1010152.JPG P1010154.JPG This is what we have now - dryer than a popcorn fart. Re: Hirobo Bearcat SS - Let's start something else...
I’m picturing 6x10x2.5 flanged bearings (MF106-ZZ) which would be 2.5mm and the flange is spec’d at .6mm wide and 11.2mm in diameter. That leaves some meat to fit the 5mm wide 13mm diameter hole pretty easily.

Clearly hirobo didn’t think about bearing sizes when they designed these things
Cant we all just 5x8 and 5x11?

Re: Hirobo 44B
They look a bit worn and gluey, rims scratched. I'll post some pics of mine, maybe they'll help. I guess treads can be reconstructed in CAD The thing is that for being able to model a tire, I need proper measurement : I need to understand the way the profile looks, the thickness of the profile, the...
