Re: Old School Rocket Car Build
That thing is ridiculously fast. Almost wonder if you need to install some air brakes to slow her down. I thought of mounting a small forward rocket that pushes back and is set off on a timer...basically a reverse thruster Do this , do it now :!: I think I saw coxbros1 pickup up some parts for his ...

Re: ProCAT re-re price drop
I just went to Amain to check on the JJ Ultima. I was greeted by an ad for the ProCAT re-re at $299. With code "oct2523", it drops to $275. I wasn't in the market for one, but at that price..... This may only be news to me. I haven't been shopping for RC cars for a while. It was $399 last...

Re: The original 1987 Winning Kyosho Ultima Machine up close
What is going on with the case on the Tekin? Is it splitting? Or is this just a weird viewing angle? After 2015 restoration it was in good condition. It looks like something did happen to the case. Maybe someone fought the servo tape trying to remove it from the shock tower and damaged it. That dan...

It's pretty simple, Associated was still using a lot of the original RC10. No Stealth trans, 6 gear... Look at the short arm cars in this picture with the Kondo and Moore cars from RCMC UK's coverage: 1987-11 RCMC UK Moore Nr1 and Kondo Nr 5.JPG The Ultima was a fairly new car with longer arms, prob...

Re: Composite Craft RPM '91 Worlds build thread
Added translucent RPM 7031 Up-travel limiters to the rear and Bud's wing mounts. I used a small JG shock shaft spacer on the lower rear rod end since it has the pivot ball. At least it's a slider now.

Re: New G27 motor run/break in... for vintage racing
I think the idea of the water bath is to prevent arching between comm segments and flush away any carbon deposits. It speeds up the break in process a lot as well. Most closed can motors feature brushes that are extremely hard and not at all conformed to the surface of the com and out of the box is...
