Re: My Green 40th Edition RC10 Build
Finally finished up the green machine. Ordered custom decals for the stripes. Used the original decals for the lettering, which were the same as the clear kit. Turned out pretty good I'd say. Also added the Halsey front bumper. IMG_20250427_203333663.jpg IMG_20250427_203518179.jpg IMG_20250427_20342...

Re: ** Jconcepts Vintage Clash of Champions and Old School Reunion - Hoosier R/C Hobbyplex, New Albany, IN - March 28-30
Great video and a fantastic tribute to Dunbar! Like everyone, I have a Dunbar story. By the time I realized there was a place to actually race like they did in the magazines, I was already building my full scale race car. I didn't take RC racing seriously at all. My only contribution to the hobby is...

Re: Small axle pin removal
EDIT: someone smart was typing at the same time as I was writing this. Sorry Thumbs! Temporary answer until someone smart chimes in... If your friends are shooters, someone in the group will have a set of small brass punches and experience removing pins. :D Put nuts on the axle to protect the thread...

Tamiya Wild Willy
In 1982 Tamiya embarked on a comical new venture in the 1/10 2wd electric vehicle scene with the Wild Willy. Intentionally disproportional the Willy wasn’t about scale accuracy or speed, this Jeep was designed as a stunt-mobile capable of puling wheelies at will. Constructed entirely of plastic the ...

Re: Double X CR modern racer
Track day report- Buggy wasn't bad, had some issues with the 25* castor blocks making the car tight in the center of the corners and slow to release the rear end so I could square up for the 3 sets of doubles. I would normally increase the rear tie rod length to get more rotation, but I'm limited by...

Re: Robb's Bolink Invader O/R
Got into the decals. Pretty much a Greenwood Corvettes tribute theme. Actual colors came out a little more "Hot Wheels" than I think I like, but overall good with it. Still need to correct some paint issues, and get into the bumper, and should wrap it up.

Tamiya Lineup 1982
Whether mud season or Christmas Season Tamiya was excited to display their ever-growing lineup of off-road vehicles in these advertisements from 1982: Rough Rider: Tamiya's original 1/10 2wd electric off-road racing buggy released in 1979. A scale version of Funco's Single Seat Baja racing buggy. Sp...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Just about complete on another long-running project, my mk1 Ford Escort body - now on a TT01 chassis. Recent jobs: - Clearancing the wheel arches (not a fun job!) - Selecting wheels and tyres to suit - Fitting body to chassis - Creation of front grille area from scratch - A few small extra decals I'...

Track Master Oval build
You don't see many Track Master oval builds, so I figured that I'd venture down that path. Bob was kind enough to send the graphite chassis kit several months ago, and I just sourced the elusive rear oval tower. The cf weave is different (small pattern) on the rear tower. I have the rest of the part...
