Today's build
Picked this one up today. This is my brother's original RC10 from the 80's. It started life as an original "A" stamped gold pan, but he modified it with the long arms and longer shocks in the front along with new arms in the rear. After sitting for more that 25 years he decided to part wit...

Re: What to do with old Nicad chargers?
I took all the guts out of an old AE 12v 15 min charger, and plan to replace them with the guts of a cheap lipo charger someday. Mostly just so I can take it to the track and watch people get really nervous when I hook it up.

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
My Novak T-1X is the pride of my ESC collection. Other racers had better motors, better battery packs, peak chargers, PCM radios, faster buggies, and actual driving skills 🤣 but I had this bad mo fo T-1X in my Turbo Optima so I could run way better motors than I actually owned. With my previous Nova...

Re: RCScrewz for RC10 Graphite
Yes, aluminum pan chassis would have the same countersink incompatibility.

Re: RCScrewz for RC10 Graphite
Fastener express sells kits of blue aluminum screws that will work for your car. https://www.fastener-express.com/blue-aluminum-fasteners-for-your-rc10-all-aluminum-chastainlessis.aspx This is what I used on my team car rebuild. They currently sell the kits with the correct countersink for rc10. You...

Re: New dewd
So, I've been making progress getting my Team Edition carbon chassis RC10 back together. I got an 81 tooth spur gear on the way. Can anyone recommend a pinion size for use with a 4-pole 4300 kv motor on 2S? Thanks! It's going to be temperature and surface dependent. If you are running on a dry flat...

Re: RC10 Team Edition shock parts
Unfortunately, that's the breaks on these cars now..... Everything obsolete.
I can usually buy a set of used shock for 25-30 bucks and clean em up for spares.

Re: RC10 Team Edition shock parts
I once bought a set of beat up GT shocks, just to strip them for parts. The plastics were worth more than the shocks.

Re: RC10 Team Edition shock parts
Here you go. I took these measurements a few years ago. But then I came across a stash of shock parts. Screenshot_20230406_192441_Gallery.jpg Ya know, looking at that sketch, I'd probably draw them in CAD, print a paper template, stick that to a sheet of styrene of the correct thickness, drill the ...

.4" /10.2 mm is the inner size of vintage associated small bore shocks.Mwildmann wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 7:28 pm
Anyone know offhand with the inside diameter is of the early RC-10 shocks, 12mm? Look for something 13 or 13.5mm in diameter to cut a little wedge out of.

Re: Clonewald GFG-10
The buggy is basically done, just waiting on the decals. I might go back and trim the motor plate more, but that can wait a while, I think.

Re: Turnbuckles
Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe that you'll find that you have an interference problem between these ball cups. Move the steering as you compress the suspension. Screenshot_20230409_155210_Samsung Internet.jpg You have RPM ball cups AND RCPS/Losi bellcranks. Either one is likely to c...
