...Does anyone have one of these gearboxes sitting around and could take precision height and width measurements for the front of it? Taken with digital vernier calipers... Height is 37mm/1.45in width... depends on where you measure as the case is tapered.... 23.9mm/.94in at the bottom 23.4mm/.92in...

Excellent topic... If you define "Golden Age" as the first point at which something gained mass appeal, then you also have to ask which aspect of R/C you want to apply it to. The 80's was the Golden Age for pistol grip transmitters and 1/10th Off-road Buggies, the 90's was the Golden Age f...

The wing on that RC10 is mounted really far forward? I wonder how that affects handling? Kinda stating the obvious but moving the wing forward moves the location of the force applied by the wing forward so... the buggy is likely to have comparably more front traction, less nose lift during on throt...

Just the rubber oxidizing, even silicone oxidizes. Any automotive tire shine should work. I prefer Mothers 16915 Speed Tire Shine. Rubbed in and wiped off tires/parts look new rather than just shiny. Or you could encapsulate the tire by spraying it with clear plasti-dip or similar, which is removeab...
