Re: Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE

Does anyone know if the threaded shock bodies for the XX and XXX can be put directly on the Pro SE shocks? If so, do I need a set of 0.9in for the front and 1.2in for the rear? https://www.ebay.com/itm/114945657972?epid=1300037374&hash=item1ac34b8c74:g:xO4AAOSwog5hH9-O All the info you need abo...

Re: ** 2021 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - R/C Excitement Inc., Fitchburg, MA - Sept. 24-26

Yeah I would not complain either, glad he hosts it. It was clear watching though the cars were not taking to them well and took some real driving so well done. And a leap of faith I would imagine each time you launched what would happen on crash landing.

Re: The weather must be nice.

Yeah, it tends to slow down once spring rolls around. Unfortunately, it was kind dead this past winter too, so...... :? I'm sure FB has a lot to do with it. If anyone cares about quality of information they'd be here. So much quality of information has been lost with the quick post a pic, get 50 re...

Re: My JRX2 restore/race build

Buy some 3d printed lower shock mounts from Sabula tech or shapeways. Then you can run without fear of breaking them, they are stronger than stock and readily available. Eventually for carpet though H-arm is probably better but I totally get the fun of running a 5 link.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

I haven't worked in CAD since long long ago in high school and it is nothing like we had then. I would think with modern computers and software would be an easy scale up here to 1/10? The hard work is done. One can dream, but this is awesome!

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

Those look great. I picked up some 6/32 to use but they still didn’t look quite right. The 4/40 are perfect 8) Now you need to find some 2mm for the shocks I don't have any on hand but wouldn't M2 (shocks) and M4 (axles) white nylon nuts be correct and keep everything metric? Before I order 200 of ...

Solid life advice right there! I will be traveling an hour or so to track that races Mini B and T's. I intend to dominate, take all the trophies, and never show up again. I will be a legend who blew into town and was never seen again.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

That's the style I would want for sure. I wonder if maybe bending one out of I don't know say 2mm Kydex? 1.5mm perhaps. Wait, I have a left over Chinese food black container that seems about right, where's my heat gun!

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

Looks great, almost makes me want to learn 3d printing. Do it, I am running cheap Ender 3 pros and I have made more things then I could count. From RC bits to spacers for my Mothers mobility scooter to wiper rack bushings for a vintage VW :) Every time I think I am ready. I get overwhelmed and the ...

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

Got it, reading up on the ender 3 now. Thanks. I get it's a hobby and I can grow but I also know me. I am not passionate about it say like RC. So if I don't get going and learn the basics hands on I will not grow, I will get frustrated. I need it to work and then I learn and go down the wormhole.

Re: RIP Ernie Provetti (Trinity)

Met him once at a large hobby show as a young lad. I worked at a hobby shop so we had a booth. Used that angle and some friends and I ended up buying bulk motor brushes from Trinity. I like to think my 14 year old business savvy conversation with him made it happen. We made a custom jig and were han...

Re: JRX Pro - does it make sense for vintage races?

Contrary to much popular internet lore, the LRM transmission holds up just fine to the modern brushless. I have run countless laps on high traction carpet with mine. Sometimes I have a slipper, sometimes I do not. Just do not let the differential slip too much. On the modern high bite tracks anyways...
