Re: Trx-1 runner
The motor plate is a Trx-1, looks similar to the jrx . For hinge pines I used : https://www.amainhobbies.com/st-racing-concepts-heat-treated-polished-steel-locknut-style-hinge-pin-black-sptst3640bk/p34391 You still need to order front outer hinge pins to complete the set. Rear hubs are Traxxas 1952,...

Re: nitro rustler to bandit mid kit bash
It doesn't have provisions for the motor, that's what the motor plate adapter is for.

Cougar MK1 DSPPC Dirtspec
Hi there, It’s been a while since i started a new project again, but…. Something has drawn me back into my garage to start getting out the pencil, hacksaw, file and dremel! In January 2024 we have a indoor vintage race in the Netherlands. “Southern Indoor Masters Supercross” is in REAL deep hardcore...

Re: Did you ever or do you race now?
I raced a lot from about 1985 to 1990, pretty much every weekend and sometimes during the week! - By far the most frequent racing was 1/10 off-road, multiple RC10s, and a brand-new JRX-2 when it came out. The first model I ever raced was a Tamiya Falcon! - Also raced many times on dirt oval - I had ...

Re: What is the RC story behind Rear Toe-In?
I think the modern sticky tracks mask a lot of tuning problems so anyone that has some idea of car set up will be fast, but a driver that really knows car set up will always benefit from good car set up and be a step above. In saying that I think there are different challenges in the different track...

To instead, I am personally hurt and they are an evil greedy company. Seems to be going something like... They're mak...

Re: Economic Viability of an R/C Track
I don't think it is malicious. No one is hoping tracks lose money. I think people just don't appreciate what it takes to run a track. Also, when their own finances get tight, people are naturally going to drop out of things like RC racing. It's not malicious that they want a track to lose money, bu...

Re: Economic Viability of an R/C Track
My "local" facility has been around since early 2000s and has changed location and added space. I think their sucess is from a few things. 1) Always something happening with large event calendar 2) bringing youth in with things like fri night hot wheels racing 3) track (s) always changing...

Re: C Stamp Gold Pan Runner/Racer build
Installed the shocks on the rc10. They feel so nice and smooth. Also swapped out yokomo rear wheels for jconcepts rears to match fronts.

JRXT of my youth
I received a JRXT for Christmas in 1990 to partner the JRX2 I received the year before. I'm pretty sure that my folks bought it at Arcar South, a hobby shop not far from my home in Georgia. Arcar hosted the 1990 Kyosho 1/8 Offroad Challenge. A JRXT was on the cover of the RCCA July 1990 issue that a...
