Re: Tekin RC10 Questions
I had some pictures from when I built mine. Think they illustrate the principle. Setup with the Losi 2038 hubs and 0 degree arm mounts.

RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
Just got inspired by some threads on the Tekin conversion to post an old build. As per usual I had collected parts for a long time and wanted to build a mid motor conversion for vintage racing on modern carpet tracks. In 2014 I was ready to assemble a car for the Nordic Vintage Challenge. Ended up d...

Re: RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
An old scratched up golden nose plate was stripped and sanded for a good finish and kick-up adjusted to 25 degrees. Then a coat of black and the SACS mounted.

Re: RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
Ok, from the active caster provided by Schumacher at the front end we continue to the active camber at the rear... Overhauled a black case stealth and flipped the top shaft the right way for the mid motor configuration and mounted it to the Tekin motor plate from the kit. On this build I've used the...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2023 ** - Winner - morrisey0
Posting up my RC10 mid motor conversion from Tekin, with the active camber link activated. In addition it is also sporting a Schumacher SACS (active caster) front suspension kit made for RC10. Back in the days mid motor was rather exotic, but became the golden standard on high grip tracks in the 200...

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I would also wote for the green shocks. The black shocks are nice, but I think you're losing more of the identiy of the car. Also, all of a sudden the entire setup turned very modern with the black ones.
Green looks fantastic, stealthy and strengthen the vintage AE identity.

Re: RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
Rounding off the build with how the car eventually turned out. The first year I tried out some different parts, but the last years the build has settled. In addition to the parts mentioned above, todays sits are as follows: Body: AE #6121 Viper Axles: AE 6369 CVA Shocks: AE hard anodized 1.32 and 0....

Re: Early Edinger rebuild
Some tiny steps forward - gear box and shock assembly. Gear box built as per early specs. All of the shocks had the aluminium spacer and slotted pistons. Also lucky to find the captive rear spring retainers cleaned up very nicely. Decided to swap the brass spring retainers in the front with original...

Re: Early Edinger rebuild
Turning out to be a real slow cooked dish. Nice to not rush through the build and enjoy the adventure - after all there is no hurry with this one.

Re: Early Edinger rebuild
You should swap the right side pinion around, tap it onto the diff tube, fit the large hole washer over pinion flange, and use a teflon diff tube bushing. rc10rhgear.JPG I believe you have misinterpreted the image :?: :D I have built quite a few of these and always the way shown. The right hand pin...

Re: Early Edinger rebuild
Just had to take the gearbox apart and check. No, but seriously I thought this comment can't be true (turned out I should have listened the gut feeling), and wondered how I could answer in a polite way. After all you had put some work into showing me the "right" way. Alternatively that it ...

Re: Early Edinger rebuild
Thank you both for the input. I'll go for the Novak. Thing is I want the components to be fairly period correct. The only early generation Novak esc I have are the NESC 4 and NESC 1X. The wires are too short so have to resolder. I'll be using the 4 and as you see in the picture the wiring is identic...

Re: Early Edinger rebuild
Now I read your question several times, and after careful consideration found it safe to answer  But really I've had some good laughs at myself for seriously jumping on to your comment - you should not have deleted it. No, I don't have any adapter. I just picket out the components yesterday whe...
