Re: TAG Coyote resurrection
The tires i ordered to run it with finally arrived yesterday so today she ran for the first time since the rebuild , the transmission sounds incredibly smooth ! its still running the silver can complete with the odd plastic pinion that came with it but it still ran with a nice enough pace with the 2...

Re: It all started with an idea...
I've never actually made it myself but maybe something like this would work. It uses only factory holes so no drilling necessary. Anyway, this is just one method, there are other ways to achieve the same objective but this is probably one of the simpler ways. Of course this assumes you're using a re...

Re: Back when $#!+ was real....
I used to catch this once in a while. It was fun watching the trucks lose all their bodywork from contact, and I always wanted a Stadium Super Light. Eventually got on quads.
But have y'all see the Stadium Super Trucks craziness?

Re: Another quarantine inspired XXT
Thanks Matt and Todd. I chased down the Traxxas part option as I had a Slash at home. Turns out it works with minor modifications. I like this approach because these parts are available everywhere. I was able to use the Traxxas Slash caster blocks (3632), steering blocks (3736) and axles (3637) for ...

Re: Another quarantine inspired XXT
Just an update on the XXT. It's been running great. It is incredibly fast with the brushless system. I installed a Hobbywing combo and the truck is terrific to drive. Recently I started hearing a clicking sound coming from the transmission. Based on previous posts I thought I melted my diff. I tore ...

Re: What are your favourite slot cars ?
Anyone remember TCR? Gotta love getting around those jam cars! I had a TCR set too as a kid, but I remember it being more frustrating than fun...it didn't help that my dad wasn't really mechanically inclined and once the cars could barely run anymore, we couldn't do the necessary maintenance....

Re: Team Cobra Trackside [Tire] Truer
I've got one of those somewhere. Very basic but it does the trick. Hard to get even accurate cuts as you slide the slide side to side by hand, especially with new donuts. I found the easiest way is to get them all down to nearly the finished size one by one, and for your last finish cut leave the to...

Re: Team Cobra Trackside [Tire] Truer
If I were a betting man, my guess would be 1/12 and 1/10 front for the one without a pin, and the other for 1/12 rears. The diameter of the hubs would be 5/16 for a front 1/12 and 1/10 wheel, and 1/4” for rear 1/12

Re: Team Cobra Trackside [Tire] Truer
That is a nice assortment of arbors. On my Cobra tire truers, I always use arbors with pins for both front and rear pan car tires. The pins can be placed against the inside "spokes" of front wheels and into the mounting screw holes of rear wheels. The pins prevent the arbors from slipping ...
