It's kind of got Mcferson strut suspension all round without shocks , odd choice .

The Diamond One's Dirt Oval Ultima

This is a replica I am doing using all vintage parts....it's replicating an Ultima the Diamond 💎 One raced in the 80's....the chassis was a beat up pile I restored, along with the TrackMaster tranny...it will be a slow process, but here's the start

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Local pickup from Gumtree (of all places).... should satiate my Tamiya wrenching craving!!! 101.jpg 103.jpg 104.jpg Two TT01s, a TT01e, and an M03 (in M03L configuration). Plus a metric squibload of spares, including more than 10 of the same sprue..... apparently, the previous owners used to go to t...

Handy having machine tools.
Not sure if I'm more jealous of having the tools, or knowing how to use them...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Woke up on a rainy Saturday, with no real plan, saw the SRB parts spread all over the place, and decided to get into it. Building this the opposite way you should. Get to a step, gather, repair and clean parts as needed, and assemble that step. Rinse and repeat. Makes for a slow build. This is my fi...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Over the last few months I have slowly rebuilt a Wild Willy. I picked it up cheap and found a few broken parts, modeled them and printed replacements including having a stainless steel 3d printed axle tube made. Soaked the body in LA's Awesome for a couple days to get the three layers of paint off. ...
