Re: My RC10 (runner)
<RC10 laydown ver.2> Short wheel base version of the laydown mid-motor RC10. NDS chassis + RC10 nose plate & front A arm + flipped rear arm = RC10 with the very short wheelbase. RC10_laydown_ver2_1.jpg It took me a while to stabilize this car on a sandy clay indoor track. I think that "GT c...

Early Vintage Rough Rider
Had this given to me a few years ago, so decided it was time to give it some life, by restoring/rebuilding it. It’s what some would refer to as a Mk 1, but Tamiya never really had a specific change in their kits, rather they just made rolling changes. I can highlight the tell tales parts that say th...

Re: B4 Bonanza
Righto - on to the B4 Factory Team then. This is the only carbon chassis of all the B4's I have. It was in need of a tidy up with a bit of CA needing to be removed - this proved to be no problem with the Acetone on a cotton wool ball trick I learned here at RC10 Talk. I then used a bit of car wax to...

Re: Outdrives shot?
you can, especially if the rings have been badly damaged and you have 'barked' the diff. They are supposed to be tough though. no, i meant sneak up on the diff adjustment when you build it. the manual says to tighten the diff till the spring binds, then loosen 1/8th turn. I like to bring the bolt up...

RC10 with gear diff
Hello All, By replacing RC10 stock bulkhead with NIX63231 bulkhead, you'll be able to mount RC10B4 transmission to your RC10 tub or carbon chassis. You don't even need RC10 Stealth transmission holes as this one mounts to stock bulkhead holes and rear holes of classic 6-gear transmission. There's no...

Rebuilding a B3 (A series of builds by rcpelle)
Hi all I am new at the forum, but not new to the hobby. I started racing in 1987 and ended up racing seriously up until 2008 where I stopped - more than 20 years. The last years I only raced touring car and my last off road race was in 2002. I raced with my dad and he began to not be able to come to...

Re: Early Vintage Rough Rider
Finally got the number stickers. These are off 2 separate sheets and are exactly the same size. I just learnt that for correct font sizes, the curved numbers need to be slightly larger to “correct” the optical illusion. I chose 79 as that is the year this kit was released, so just seemed right. As f...

Rebuilding a B2 (A series of builds by rcpelle)
So as posted in my B3 build thread, I have decided to do a few more builds. This one is about building a B2 in 1996 style - the year I started driving for Team Associated after approaching Gene Hustings at the 1996 Florida Winter Champs. I am using as many original parts from back then as I can. I a...

Mid Motor Low CG Spec Carpet Monster
The goal of this project is to make a dedicated racer so I can stop breaking parts on my original Worlds Car  I will be using a re-release worlds car as a donor, though admittedly few parts will be carried over. Here is the plan: -custom Single piece 1/8" 6061 aluminum plate chassis with...

RC10T - Purple #2
This is my second purple RC10T build. However I bought this truck instead of building it from parts. It was a very nice build, but I still gave it a full rebuild to bring it up to my standards. I changed out much of the hardware, ballstuds, arms, cvds, and many small details. Below are some comparis...

RC10T3 Parts Bins/Scratch Build
Well we have been on a full country wide lockdown here in NZ for a week and a half from the unprecedented global pandemic. Having done a lot of the home maintenance and DIY jobs I have been meaning to get around to I thought I’d scratch around and see if I could build something from parts. I had mos...
