I know it's been a while but I'm still working on this, slow and steady. I've fallen deeper down the carbon fiber rabbit hole and I might be having more fun learning how to make CF than the actual car! Since my last post I've experimented with putting the CF layup between mylar sheets to get a matte...

cut the chassis out, attached the rear end and proline trans, the front isnt drilled and screwed on yet ... the chassis had to be modified from the original in several ways which made it complicated ... -first, the front end will utilize the modern bulkhead which has a built-in kickup vs the old cha...

COVID has kept me busy for sure...wrapped up a TRX4 in honor of my namesake, "The Rig" and I finished up a Sledgehammer with a tribute body.

-battery box is installed, shock towers are cut, front end is bolted on and a rear brace was made and screwed in. -brace, shock tower and chassis are all cut from the 3mm cf sheet. - things have literally been screwed and unscrewed 20 times to get fitment right and to get things on the drill press ....

got the body trimmed and ready for paint, the suspension and steering has all been mocked up and figured out, but nothing is final or finished on that, the links shown are just for setup and way too heavy and bind up too quickly imo for a race application, rpm ends on ball studs and lunsford rods wi...

First coat of epoxy primer cooked in the heat of the Texas sun then lightly wet sanded.
I realize painting the chassis is not nearly as durable as powder or anodize but it's what I have on hand.
It will get a protective sheet on the belly if/when it sees dirt.
