Has anyone mixed these parts with "OG" parts on a build? How does the color compare between the two? I know pictures don't do colors justice but the FAN parts look more yellowish. Like old new parts as opposed to new new parts. They mix fine. There is more variation between ages of AE par...
So I think you're asking what CAD software to use for designing your part. Correct? I use a very vintage version of AutoCAD that I have to trick modern computers to be able to run it. Several people here seem to like Fusion 360 but I have no experience with that program. This PCblend you mentioned, ...
I drove my new truck to work this morning. Well, it's newer than me, anyway. Man, they don't make 'em like they used to! 3 on the tree and a floor "brights" switch? I laugh out loud every time I step on the "brights" switch. This one has an automatic :( but it has a small ...
Fusion 360 is insanely powerful but also has a very steep learning curve. If you think you will stick with it, choose this program. Its free for students and hobbyists. If you just want to do it down and dirty, there are a lot of people that use tinkercad. Its a very simplified version of cad that d...
If you start to work with a stl, I'm not sure Fusion360 is the best tool for this, unless you redo the model from scratch (unless you have paid version wich is supposed to help a bit on STL importation). Just to eco what others have said , if your going to grow your skills and stick with it then the free version of Fusion 360 is excellent but has a huge learning curve , otherwise Tinker Cad is pretty easy to get started with , both have excellent YouTube tutorials .

For me the early days of the 80s were golden , cars were often crude in design and many popular design concepts of the time were later abandoned , trailing arms and mono shocks were king , there was room for ev...
Had this '66 Bus for 34 years now, bought it three days after my 17th birthday - it was double side-swiped and had a seized motor; people thought I was crazy to have spent $600 for it in late '89. https://i.imgur.com/r4cQ3Qg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mcJUnzp.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Ods4ljm.jpg?1 https...

I view the golden age as being when I was involved in the hobby from introduction until I left for military service.
Bingo! ....Same time frame, same situation. I've been trying to find my niche ever since.
Made some headway today...99% of the stuff is just thoughts in my head...but I have the front steering system figured out, which was gonna be a big hurdle...it's a single wheel inside the body in the chassis, and the chassis is very narrow...pics to come soon
