If you need help identifying anything R/C related then post it here. This way it will eliminate the need to start a new thread every single time. It should also make it easier when searching as all the information will be consolidated in one place.

Head on protector
Thanks Jeff!! Yea, um, I am guessing that is going to be impossible to find, so tribute head on protector is probably in order. :D
I need help identifying the front bulkhead in the attached picture. To me it looks like a Traxxas TCP / TRX 3 front aluminum bulkhead, since it has the kickup built in. But the 2-piece design is throwing me off.
The guy who’s selling it...

Thanks for the comparison TRX-1-3.
I will look at the actual bulkheads once I get back home.
I've done the Bandit/Rustler to TRX3 bulkhead conversion myself, works perfectly. Only difference, I drilled the bumper instead of the bulkhead.
Found these shocks in my parts box, similar colour to Tamiya Sleeved, but pretty certain they’re not due to the caps being 2 piece. Any idea what they are?
And this ESC was under the body of an original Tamiya Top Force I’ve had waiting...
Hi, I'm trying to identify the following car I purchased on ebay about 5 years ago. It is an RC10 but bastardized I believe with an aftermarket chassis as the internal striations don't appear to reflect any of AE's. It was definitely listed as a...
Last post
What are you trying to identify?
I wouldn't call it bastardized even on a bad day. The millwork on the chassis is impressive from what can be seen. Even the nose plate is milled out. The circle cut out and notch may be a bit far out but, still...
picked this up with a couple other 80's cars, but can find anything online about this. I have no idea what it is aside from having a Thunder Tiger motor. any help IDing it will be appreciated. I'd like to get it driving, it seems rather complete...

It's worth what someone's willing to pay. :) Put it up for sale at what you're comfortable with, and go from there.
this is a super detailed 1/12 scale body that was used on a nitro car. what's cool is that the windows were cut out than added back to the inside of the body which i have never seen done before. also it was used on a 1/12 scale nitro chassis??? any...

Third gen Camaro dirt oval body. Paint job is a replica of the 1986 Helen Rae Daytona 500 car.
An estimated guess is the livery roughly dates the time it was built, narrowing the chassis possibilities slightly, etc.
I posted a picture of this chassis in the identification thread a couple weeks ago. It was identified as (most likely) a C&J Racing chassis that was mostly stripped of its purple anodizing. However, after taking a closer look, this looks more like a...

just another question for you is do you realize that the seller is a member here?
Hugger19 was the seller and also a member here. I was actually messing with him about the truck around Christmas time while it was on ebay since I hadn't seen him...
Can anyone identify this chassis? The buggy was definitely upgraded to race but no identifiers on frame. The name Otterstein (I think) is scratched into the surface but I doubt it has anything to do with who made the chassis.
Edit: I think I've...

That jives as the chassis I have is 6 holes and I think I bought it and it was a duratrax.
Since I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to vintage electronics I’m hoping some of you can identify the ESC on the Kyosho Pro XRTs box art.
Doesn’t seem like anything high performance because there seems to be no heat sink on it.
i find this Missiler and i see the tyre set are not the original set.
This tyre set surely are hobby grade, probably the front rims are the Tamiya grasshopper? I'm not shure.
Whre i can find a tyre set like this one? It's for a restoring...

Thanks Gomach.
Yes i restore my one, but i want install a grashopper tyre set.
Thanks for the bulletin you add, to modify the rims.
Hi all! I came across this cool R/C vehicle the other day and had to purchase it. The thing is, I really had no idea what it was. I tried some reverse image searching and this was my best guess. Anyone on here that could give me some information, it...
I'm new here and still struggling with getting pics uploaded, so instead of asking someone to ID a pic, could someone give me the rundown of how to identify these rigs? I have a gold pan RC10, but am unsure of where to find the Stamp ,...

Got this guy last week. Thought it was a Delta Super J? Maybe it is with aftermarket parts? It has an aluminum rear wing with wing strut that I haven't seen anywhere and the steering blocks are nice aluminum too. Just aftermarket? Or different...

Could be lead paint. The bill that banned lead paint passed in 1976 which is the same year that that CK760 wouldve been raced. :?
So I bought this on ebay last night. It looks complete, so I figure it was a good gamble. The overall design screams Delta but the T bar mount doesn't look familiar.
It looks a lot like a Villian, except for the mount. Maybe an earlier or cheaper...

Did a little work on this one.
Swapped the Novak receiver for a Tekin, to match the esc. Slightly modified an RJ Speed front bumper, and trimmed the body.
A friend bought such body posts in a bulk.
They are perfect for the onroad cars we use.
Now I try to find them for my own cars.
I had some ideas and was searching already, but I can´t find the manufacturer or what car they are intended for.
Hi all, I'm happy I found this forum. :) I'm in need of some help identifying this aftermarket graphite chassis on my RC10 that I've had for a number of years. I recall that there were several aftermarket chassis out there back in the day, but I've...

The narrow width makes me think that it might be a Sprint car chassis..
Ever seen this one before? looks like a protech but with a whale tale in the rear of the body. Not saying it's pretty, just never seen it. Custom job? I can't see any lines on the body to suggest it added on, unless it's in the mold.
I picked this slick 1/12 Can-Am body up off eBay. After some research, it appears to be modelled after the McRae GM9 race car. The closest thing I been able to find is the Delta Plastik S0745, but it is wrong scale (1/8).
I think I overpaid a bit for these, but curiosity killed the cat (I'm the cat). Anyone know what these are? Thanks for any help.

Greetings. New member, first time poster, and a fan of RC cars from way back.
My first car was a Christmas present back in the late 80’s. My big brother and I received matching Sears RC cars. We raced them, crashed them (many times), and we were...

It is on my yz10 runner and came with a parts lot. I have no idea which model of yz10 it is from though. Although, the weave does look very fibrelyte. Sorry about the terrible quality image.
Last post
Agree it's most likely a Fiberlyte but there were quite a few YZ10 top deck/shock tower/main chassis made by aftermarket companies back in the 90's.
Any info on this motor? It came in a vintage bolink pan car I bought. I've found this same motor but its red/orange, im not able to find one in silver and black like this.
Last post
I don't know about the label. But the endbell and those huge caps are like a Speedworks motor.
Does anyone know this electrical connector? It came on a recently acquired RC10 Team car. There were two - one each on the NiCd battery-ESC connection, and also for the motor. I haven't seen it before. Metal surface area looks pretty substantial....
Last post
Yes, Race Prep. People used to trim the end so they could reverse polarity when used for motor connectors.
Thanks makes sense. In this case the guard is still on both connectors.
The orange were known for causing esc’s to go up in flames....
I was sent these in a bag by a friend of Don Ison of NODIS. The Optima belt conversion parts from my other thread were also included, but these items pictured are a bit of a mystery to me at the moment. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what...

Well it looks like you guys were correct. After a little research I have uncovered a NODIS advert from the June 1990 edition of Radio Race Car which confirms that they did actually produce an alloy diff for the TopCAT. Another one of the bundle...
Hi guys. I was cleaning up in my attic the other day and found my old RCs which I had not touched in like 25+ years. Now I have the itch to get back into them.
By far my favorite was the YZ10:

Thanks for the reply. Ya, thats what I was suspecting. Especially when I realized the diff balls do absolutely nothing. I must have pulled it off another car.
Will have to try and locate the original as I would really like to try the clutched...
Came in a box of stuff, was drilled for and fits one of my XT's nice. Who made it? I will clean up edges, maybe touch of bumper area, vinyl wrap bed area in black and call it a restore.
What are chances of finding a set of grill and headlight...

That looks like it! It's the roll bar that matches and the only one I have seen that does. Well done!
Hello, forgive me if these are nothing interesting, but I’m keen to know who makes these? I have looked online without much luck… any information very welcome.
Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply, brilliant to see them NIP... I'll pop these ones on my MIP, Composite Craft for now as who doesn't need a bit of bling!
I need the front piece that mounts the front swing arms to this truck chassis but I don't know what it is besides it being a Losi. It has to be a 90's truck but not part numbers on it and I bought it back then as just a running truck. I broke the...

That is the A-1003 front bulkhead. A common failure that makes them hard to find. I have read that the 3D printed ones aren’t very strong but haven’t personally tried one. Your truck looks to be a LXT with a Junior 2/T chassis.
I purchased a used Tamiya Blackfoot many years ago and it ended up boxed up in the attic as it was when I got it. I have started to clean it up and repair/replace parts in effort to run it again. The truck had these green shocks installed in the...

Thanks! I was not aware Trinity made/sold shocks and it looks like this was happening while I was actively racing. From what I found on the dirt-burners site they were color coded for application and the green ones are for the Blackfoot.
I noticed when looking for parts for the RC10T all of the images are showing white front and rear A-Arms. The shells for the RC10T are also different. I can't remember which version I bought when I bought it. I want to try to track down a new shell...

And there is no need for the receiver battery pack with the esc.
I was reading that when I picked up the ECS. That's actually a nice feature.
Hi, I’m doing a rebuild on a couple of my old RC10s, I have 3 6 speed gearboxes, but this one has an odd diff top shaft. Does anyone know what it may be, I don’t think it’s MIP?
Many thanks.
Last post
Yes, I just happen to have that one NIP since I was hunting the phillips variant for a while. It comes in 2 flavors with one being the normal e-clip end. It has longer threads for the nut.
I know that there is a what is it thread but I figured more people would see this. I’ve been trying to search and find other cars like this one but I can’t. What is it!?!? Any help would be grateful. It is for sale near me so please help.
Last post
Ok thank you. I thought it was older than that. Never mind then
I picked this one up a while back, it appears to be home made and perhaps by more than one person as the work on the cage is far nicer than the engine mount,
It also shows signs it was built and ran, not sure where i will go with it but should get...

Thanks all,
I thought the sprint car was just too weird to pass up, i have less into it than the front aluminum wheels would cost used,
Ill build it out or trade it off, part of my batcave boneyard.
There was an electric plane in the Tower Hobbies 87' to 89' catalog i believe that had a Le Mans 360pt stock issue in it. Anyone know which plane it was or remember seeing it?
Last post
Yep, looks like that option for the 360pt for the Etude is what i was thinking of, thanks for checking for me. :D
New to the forum. I've been out of the RC world for 20+ years. Long ago I had one of the gold pan RC10's from the late 80's and scooped this abomination of what appears to be an RC10 for next to nothing at a garage sale. Can anyone identify which...

Update:
After some fun with this old buggy I broke one of the ujoints coming out of the gearbox.
