It's 1984 Xmas morning in Nov 2023!

Post by RCK675 »

Well I accidentally rediscovered RC10 after almost 40 years. I was never lucky enough to get one back when then but man did I beg!

So I bought this beautifully never run chassis w a Edinger box that I'm going to build and display. I've gotten the bug and have a few more used ones coming that I'm going to restomod with new Spektrum electronics and lipo battery.

I've got Arrma Vortex basher and really like the ease of the Spektrum hardware.

Here's a LS motor I'm finishing up for a 53 chevy pickup. It's a 325 to a 364 with a BTR stage 3 cam, AFR heads w dual springs, 120lb injectors and Holley terminator X. putting a 1000hp turbo in it and tune to 800hp.

Number 2 showed up today. This is a cadillac boxed one that's been used. This will be my resto mod car where I'll use all spektrum hardware. She definitely needs some TLC.

Well I used my ultrasound cleaner and got all the plastic parts cleaned up. Added my 3d printed battery and electronic base. Ordered a stealth trans for it. Rebuilt the shocks and added new oil.

Coming along... way faster than a real one!

Ordered a stealth trans for it? Do you have a drill template for the stealth trans mount holes? It looks like that A stamp chassis is only setup for the 6 gear trans.

It's no big deal to drill the chassis for the stealth trans (Associated had a drill template) but you'd probably want to take everything off the chassis first.

Yeah I'll tear it back down. Drilling it won't be an issue... I do machine work for fun so easy peasy.

Added another to the stable. I got this carbon one off ebay. It's drilled fir the stealth motor already so I can use it as a template. This one's got Andy's front and rear control arms. Also came with a nice painted shell and an aluminum rear wing.

That one is drilled so the stealth gearbox can be mounted in either the rear motor or mid motor position. It has 4 extra holes.

Are those alloy wheels inside those foams ? Got a side pic of it ?
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
