4 bodies finished last week, and 3 more this week!
The Bolink trophy truck body has some nice big areas and I thought it would be nice to try some trick I'd heard about:
Didn't work out as I had wished but the other thing I tried worked out well: the matt black truck bed is just what I wanted:
I'm not sure this trophy truck project is ever going to get built, but if it is, it will definitely need some stickers to fix up the mess I made on the body
The Parma Beetle was going super well, till I put too much of the last color on. Suddenly I had a flood of yellow running to the green, so I flippped the body over to stop it from going further... and it ran back taking some green into the yellow
No disaster though: I'm happy with the overall outcome on this:
Caution: wet paint! (Bolink trophy truck and Parma beetle )

I dig it.
The truck has a lava effect, the Bug has a old school look about it.
What are they going on?

Re: Caution: wet paint! (Bolink trophy truck and Parma beetle )
thanks guys
No immediate plans really:
The bolink is designed for a touring car, so it will either go on a kyosho spider TF-1 (basically a narrowed optima-mid) or a Yokomo YR-4 (basically a narrowed YZ-10). It's intended for use with scale tires; like a crawler or tamiyas stadium racers, but I'm thinking of using 2.0 buggy wheels and tires with it.
The beetle is going on some kind of ultima probably, maybe with grasshopper wheels and tires and a narrowed down front to pull the wheels closer to the body. It will probably see its fenders narrowed to about half of the current width.
