i did an absolutely idiotic thing last night...

i dont drink much, in those rare times when i do drink i rarely ever get past 2 drinks before i switch to cokes or water. it just doesnt mix well with me and i dont really enjoy the feeling of being drunk like i used too. i can literally count on one hand how many times last year i drank an alchoholic beverage, and out of those times i got drunk twice...

well, last night i got drunk...

heres the result...

i get home about 3am, hit refresh on ebay to see if anything has popped up. sure enough a brand new nip rpm7077 front end kit has been listed with a buy it now of like 70 bucks. drunk hoopty scoffs at the price, and thinks of doing a google search for the part number...

sure enough hoopty finds a online hobby shop that has the part listed!!!! joy!!!!

drunk hoopty orders SIX sets for a total of 200+ dollars and THEN decides its a good idea to maybe google the online shop... drunk hoopty finds many posts about the online shop and its owner that were not praises of good service and honesty... drunk hoopty then calls credit card company to stop payment, and gets told that he has to wait and see if the retailer will refund before they take action.

drunk hoopty, disgusted with himself went to bed.

trust me, i have far worse stories from when i was younger and took pride in how much i could put down.

and yea, i would buy 6 sets from a schmuck if he actually had them.

you never know, the guy might have them... he was a power seller on ebay for a good while then it looks like he had some trouble a few years ago and started getting bad feedback and then lost his account alltogether. around that same time he filed for bankruptcy, and the majority of the posts and records i've found online are dated as such.

i wrote the place an email, a nice one as i still have faith i'll at least get a refund.
