Since I am no RC10-expert at all I thought that I would ask You in this forum.
I have been looking for a B3 for a while in a somewhat good shape, a "runner". A friend of mine here in Hamburg had one, a B3 he said. It looked good and we made a trade: (he got an old, not complete Kyosho Scorpion-chassie from me).
As I got home I cleaned it a little and discovered a few things that made me wonder (and have some doubts) if this is a B3, B2 or a mix of the cars.
The things I refer to are the front and rear suspensionarms + the chassiplate (with only 1 option to mount the steeringservo). These parts are from a B2 or am I wrong? I would be very grateful if someone could help me out a little and thank You very much for Your time

It has Aluminum shock caps, those were on early b2's. He might have converted it from a B2 to B3 at some point. The rear arms have 2 holes, I thought the later cars had a 3rd outer hole added.

Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!

Ahhhh ok! Makes sense to me too since I found the 2-hole frontshockmount in the box that followed. (The B3 had 3 holes, is that correct)?
Some more pics here!
I did find some more loose parts that appears to be from the B2. It seems like he really changed it into a B3. The rearshock mount that I found is slightly smaller than the other one that is mounted now, the front top-plate looks a little different, steeringblocks & blockcarriers looks like the ones on slotcarrod´s car http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=10942
Makes me think that this originally indeed is a B2... ....and if it is I will definitely rebuild it to what it once was:)...

Noseplate from the box. Edit* This is much shorter than the one that is mounted now and I assume that this is for a completely different car?
Looks like this car was originally a B2 but now has mostly b3 parts on it! It would be nice to see the top plate and inside the chassis, to see if it has the mounts for a sway bar??? That would tell it all!
Very nice car anyway!
Edit: Spoke too soon LOL! It is a B2! I would try to make it back into a B2, The b2 is far more rare! Looks like you would only need a black nose plate and a black B2 rear chassis plate, front arms, I think front upper turnbuckles and old type ball cups, and some universals from what I can see! If you are using it as a runner I would just use the CVD's.

Oh cool, thx a lot!! I did find a noseplate too! Is it a little shorter than the B3-plate??
AE also released a B3 conversion kit that mainly included towers and body i think. I can't remember all the details. The blue Anodized parts were a FACTORY TEAM option i believe for the B3.

Oh great, many thanks for the info!! I am sure this has been asked before but I can´t find any thread that answers my new question: When did the B2 first come out on the market and when came the B3?

I believe the B2 was released in 1995 and the B3 was 1997. Others can confirm.
I cannot for the life of me remember the origins of this one. I’d hazard a guess that once it was a graphite or a 6 gear CE, If any of you guys have a better idea let me know.
Anyway, I’ve just finished it having had it in a state of almost...
During a long time I don't know what to do with my Andy's chassis ! But today I answering at this question :P

Just a kind of goof-off project. A frankenstien type of build. I have about all the different styles of RC10's that these parts would go on already built. I am a little tired of trying to find and buy parts to make kit correct modlels. I guess I...

Hoping to see Craig in RC10 here in France during the next CML Masters :-)
I'm thinking about re-powering my old LXT and JRX Pro SE with brushless power. But, other than the Le Mans motor/esc I just got for my Rocky (which I've not hooked up yet), I have no experience with brushless systems.
The big question I have is if...

It's pretty much universal. A lot of escs have an unsensored mode, though most motors you would use in your Losi cars would be sensored. A lot of guys do buy non sensored stuff, but sensored has a little better control.
