You don’t see much info out there about these…This is from my collection for reference.

Thorp hard anodized aluminum gears.

Early parts:
#5101 left gear
#5102 right gear
#5103 Diff gear

Later they came out with a center bearing diff gear,...

The Thorp Delrin top shaft gear also fits properly on the Losi A-3120 Hydra-Drive/Slipper shaft. Which means it will also fit the A-3007 JRX-Pro top shaft and the A&L Power Clutch shaft.

Check the top gear on the input shaft. Is it nice and smooth, not chewed up? Bad bearings that all the parts rotate inside the transmission on? If a bearing got chewed up and introduced wobble to the top shaft or the whole differential assembly that...

So my brushless set-up finally showed up and now I'm even more confused about applying it to the car...I went to the local track to pick up a longer sensor cable and asked around to see what guys were running for an FDR and the consensus seemed to...

I received a couple pinions in a deal I made with a guy and I've had some issues getting them to stay on, but a dab of clear nail polish on the set screw usually fixes...

Hey guys, I am new to this forum, but certainly not new to RC, but I was wondering if any one knows if there is an internal difference, or just different with the spur and pinion?

The one difference I can think of that impacts to some degree whether specific parts will work is the 'pro differential'.

The original LRM did not have a pro differential. Meaning the center diff gear rode directly on the diff side in the middle....

Can anybody remember or know what year MIP transmissions first came out? I've got an Edinger with one in it and was wondering if it would still be considered period correct with that transmission installed. Thanks for any input provided.
