Anybody ever try this???

Post by DV8ion »

So as I'm sitting here rebuilding my old Stealth tranny I see my tranny from my B4 is sitting off to the side......hmmmm.......anybody try to run the top shaft off a B4 in the old Stealth, so you can use the B4 slipper and spurs????

I certainly havent taken enough stealths apart to know if that switch would work but if you try it and it works that would be great...the b4 spurs and slippers are easier to find let us know if you try it :D

I just finished it and it seems to be a great fit (I just mocked it up quickly), if using the stock gear cover the shaft sticks out a hair further than the stock top shaft. The spur seems sit almost in the same position if not a hair closer inward. All in all I think this is a great swap, no more old thrust washers of slipper rings etc... Plus just like Superfly said B4 parts are alot easier to find.
All you need is a B4 top shaft, slipper hubs, slipper pads, spur, and slipper spring and nut. And I'm sure it probably works a whole lot nice than the old one.
