Hi guys and girls,
I know this has probably been asked a million times before and at the very least probably answered a million times by shodog.
However I have some really badly dyed parts (blotchy black and fluroescent pink) for the RC10 which would look a whole lot better dyed black. My question is, if I clean and prepare them for dying in the normal manner and then re-dye them will they all become flat black or will they be blotchy again?
Thanks for the help.
Ed

Make sure you get all the grease and oil off of them and then boil them for a while in some black dye and they'll come out nice and black.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply and for clearing that up. I just need to find RIT dye in the UK (easier said than done)

DYLON dye will work fine to dye RPM parts and I think it should be available in the UK, I would also like to know where to find that famous "RIT" dye in Europe
... mmmh

I suspect there is a dye manufacturer in the UK that has a product that works just as well as RIT dye
It's just that RIT dye is easily available in grocery stores

He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.

rit dye is just fabric dye. i'm sure if you go to any fabric store they should have something like it.

In my experience Dylon is fine. Dyes nice and deep black and is available in branches of Woolworths for about £3

Thanks a lot Ferretti and everyone else for replying but I think I am going to go ahead and try out the website above to try and get the rit dye.

Just for info, I've used Dylon Multipurpose on loads of nylon RC parts, works great
