RC10 Volkswagen

Post by Rizzo »

G'day guys

We have a vintage meet coming up in April, so I thought that I would give my RC10 VW a freshen up. I had this shell on one of my sand scorchers but it has been repaired many times, so when I finally got a new shell for the SS, this shell had the arches cut down for guard clearance, cut out the window glass & added window netting, added a NOS bottle on the back & a tamiya Wild One drivers head. it looks a lot better than a lexan shell. I also made a front nudge bar for a bit of nose protection, there also a roll cage inside the car, it looks cool but also helps support the body in the event of a roll over.
I've also adjusted the suspension so that it sits lower which has helped with the handling.
hopefully I can meet up with Bormac at the track soon so he can drive it for me & give me his thoughts on the handling.
hope u like the pics
regards
Jak

Looks sharp.

The wheels are very cool too, what are they? But I would have picked a different style wheels with the racer look body personally

That baby looks SO COOL!! I luv the detail and design. Looks rugged as well. I am in a simular project but with an actual Sand Scorcher. Great work. The Aluminum wheels ROCK!
AKA ( settin03 R/C hobbies and more ) on Ebay

Since being on this site I have found that I have too many parts and R/C Models. Please help me get rid of them. ;-)

I am working on an RC10 Scorcher myself right now... It will be painted in Tamiya boxart colors with repro decals. I'll post pics when it's complete.... hopefully in the next week or two. :D

Wow! Rizzo, fantastic pictures and VW! Just incredible. I really want to build one of these... Are you still running the six gear transmission, or have you upgraded to stealth?
