CW Dominator tech question....

Post by Brandon G »

Does the hub for the Dominator have the same screw spacing as a RC10L rear wheel?

I hope so...

I believe so.

Last year, I purchased a dominator and was given a NIP set of RC-10L rims. I never tried them out but assume that was the reason why they were in the box.

they're the same as yokomo hubs. pan car rims should not fit. the scew holes are farther apart.

They are not the same. Jason is right, they are Yokomo hubs. Any Yok wheel will work perfectly, but not an on-road wheel.

I actually asked this question on DODC because I wanted to mount the Dominator Cyclone wheels to the pancar adapters on my Slingshot.

Here's the thread: http://www.dirtoval.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37401

I found a pic of a Dom with the BBS pancar wheels mounted, but never received a response.

Someone had to custom make those adapters to use pan wheels on the Dom/Yok axles. I don't know why you would want to, those tires on a Dom would give you an unusable and non-adjustable ride height, and there are plenty of foam tires available for Dominators.

The inside mounting diameter of a Dominator wheel is a LOT smaller than the on road wheel, and the bolt holes are not the same. Those adapters are not the same.

I have a few 10L rear wheels, gold aluminum BBS style. I can machine them to whatever width I would need to fit the OE track width and tire width of the Dominator . Seems that the adapters on the Dom uses the yoke measurements, so at this point I will either need to scrap the idea, or just machine adapters to fit the axles to 10L rear wheels.

I guess I will just fire up the lathe and get to work.

After the dominator arrives at my door, that is.
