Re: anyone remember mrp high roller???
I do have a few spares for the high roller. I have a couple. There was another guy that had fixed his trany with different gears, but we had a falling out before he could tell me what gears he used.
Neat truck. I am currently building a runner. I want to remake a the youtube video that has the high roller and big bear in it. I was planing on using a few vintage vehicles.

Re: anyone remember mrp high roller???
I'm well versed in the High Roller for what its worth. They were MRP's answer to the Clod. 4WD, 4WS, but had 4 wheel independent suspension in an unconventional manner. They were also designed to float like was mentioned due to their high flotation sealed tires/rims. That feature in which the truck was built around was their coup de grâce that set them apart from all the other monster trucks. It's no wonder, as MRP was primarily a manufacturer of boats.
One of my regrets is selling my near mint one on eBay a couple of years ago. I did get half a grand for it though. They tend to command high prices.
There are two versions. Early ones came in a white almost translucent plastic. The later models came molded in black plastic. I don't know the reason for the change. It might of been for strength or for purely aesthetic reasons. The white plastic version is rarer and worth more.
Altogether they are fairly weak. The trans gears are the weakest part. They are now mostly reserved to self queen status. There's a few High Roller threads over on ClodTalk. There's also a member there that claims he found a guy that sells metal replacement gears and bought some. He never really elaborated on it more than that.

I just found some old pictures of mine! I regrettably deleted them long ago but somewhere along the way a member over at RCCrawler saved them.
