I reckon they would work just fine. Ive made some of my own with some pretty rough tooling in the shed. These are better than what I could make.

Bear in mind the Mugen 1/8 muffler stay uses a 4mm cs screw to mount...you might consider using muffler stays for 1/10 GP cars. They are more the 'correct' size and uses 3mm screws.

Here is what i am talking about,

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_25_1424/products_id/166597/n/Kyosho-Muffler-Stay-Holder-Set

You will also find that the wire gauge used is also alot more smaller in diameter than the Mugen version :D

Alternatively you could bend the wire at 90 degrees so the wire will come through vertically (if you are mounting it on the rear shock tower). However, if you want it on a 834B (mounted vertically from the chassis) then it will not work of course.

it's natural it dosen't have tap thread on the side holes. it's for holding the piano wire
nothing wrong with kyosho

yeh, I know it. and it was very easy to make the tap thread. I put inch screw in the wire hole very slowly and got what I need.

one question: does anyone know what additional wing mounts masami used on the original 870C he won sydney with? He used the orriginal ones looking backwards from the tower and the added another set attached to the wires to regain height. But it looks like they are different ones (nearly comparable to old cat ones).
