Re: Scorcher-10x2
Looks great so far!
That body has got some great detail, I may have to look into one of those Mr. Lexan repos one of these days.
It look a lot nicer than the typical Kamtec or Parma.
What are you planning to use for wheels & tires?

Re: Scorcher-10x2
Not sure yet on the final wheels and tires. Now that the customization part is done I plan on taking it apart and putting the 2 donor cars back together, and revisiting the build once I get enough stock parts to complete it.

Since being on this site I have found that I have too many parts and R/C Models. Please help me get rid of them.

Bummer!
You don't see too many 1/10 Losi Baja conversions.
I'd love to see this one finished.
Have you tried maxing out the suspension travel to compensate for the gap between the body & chassis?...raise the suspension & lower the body?
That trailing arm rear suspension would look too cool under a Bug shell.

Re: Scorcher-10x2
making some progress. I've got all the parts needed to complete the build. I took the rear back off my vonats jrx2 and rebuilt the race car with mostly NIP parts in preparation for next years event.
The front end is from a 10 I got off the bay that was complete but missing the chassis tub. 3 days outside in a jar of peroxide, and it looks nice and white, perfect for the contrast with the black losi rear end.
The chassis was sanded, jb-welded, sanded, primed, sanded some more, painted, and then sanded on the edges. It looks almost new. I closed off all of the holes that will not be used for the build, even if it was an oem hole that was used on the stock losi car.
